Heat resistant messes clean easy.I had a holiday gathering and everyone was impressed. It’s thick and generally good quality that looks good on a white quartz countertop. However, it is shipped folded, not rolled, and there are visible creases still after one week lying flat.

The media could not be loaded. This thing is awesome! 2mm thick is the way to go for woodworking! Most on Amazon are 1mm or so thick. This thing is great. I would be careful with chisels and sharp objects on it because they will cut it very easily. But for glue ups and assembly it’s phenomenal. You can see in my video the Titebond 3 comes right off once it’s dry (easy to wipe up when it’s wet as well). I might have to get another one because of a few holes I put in it with my chisel lol.

This is over 1" too short. Bought to use to protect my kitchen counter. Yes it protects the area that it covers BUT, it absolutely attracts everything and it is a pain in the you know what to constantly be damp wiping everyday to try to keep it looking nice. Also water creeps under the mat. I did not expect that. Not good for my linoleum countertop. And I'm pretty sure it's not anti-bacterial and would eventually stain the countertop if mold grows from not keeping it dry. I'm trying to think of another way to use this mat now. I would not be good for sealing anything because I already know that moisture goes right under it. Would work for some sort of craft that you don't mind dust particles getting all over it. Wish I would of bought something else.

We remodeled our kitchen and installed an Elica Downdraft Induction cooktop in black glass. I cut a sheet of translucent silicon matting to fit the glass so that it more closely blends with the adjacent surface. In a vacation home that this one is for will do the same thing for a slide-in induction range.The sheet does not effect performance, lightens up the impact of the black top, protects the glass and kills the glare from under counter lights and the reflection of the bottom of your of your cabinets.One point is that the white translucency might slightly discolor from use but it’s hardly objectionable. If you have controls in the glass I cut out small ares in the mat to allow for touch.
