Heavy, loud and annoying for adults - so great for babies, volume can't be easily turned down
Great little toy. Goes off on its own if you put it down, to draw baby's attention to it again. Makes a loud noise when banged - very entertaining for little ones. It is a bit heavy for small babies, which is great for muscle development, but if your baby starts banging the laminated floor, or the laminated sides of the cot, it will make you worry if they will not tear down the house. The hammer toy is strong and heavy enough to withstand anything, you worry about everything else, though. For my taste, I would have liked an easier to turn volume dial. I think this dial is on the nose, but I haven't managed to turn it down. I may have to take the screwdriver to it, and see if I can have any success once I open it up. But in the meantime I try not to leave it with the baby too much. So, it's a shame really about the volume control, otherwise, it's great fun.
