Sounds great, feels great
Instructions are pretty basic, so definitely watch a couple YouTube vids first to make sure you’re prepared. Hardest thing to get around was the mass air sensor harness; there’s a tricky little security clip you have to remove first before the wiring comes off. Other than that, it’s a pretty straight forward install, and the results were 100% worth the price. I put this on a 6.0 vortec and the added power was immediately noticeable even at lower speeds. It also added a distinct rumble at 3000+ RPMs - I’m having a hard time not throwing the pedal down! Great no-brainer addition to your truck whether it’s a daily or project car.

I Love this intake kit!!
Wow is this kit cool. I was already aware of the K&N benefits having purchased replacement filters for my other vehicles. This time I decided to try this entire replacement kit on my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado with a 5.3 liter V-8. Note that I also installed a Flowmaster exhaust system as well. Man, this baby not only looks bad_ss but performs amazing. It installed very easily in aprox. 45 minutes. I took my time and was not rushing anything. When I fired up my truck it thanked me right away. You could hear how happy it was to breath freely. I have a nice increase in horsepower and torque. I don't know exactly how much but I can feel the difference. I accidentally burned a little rubber.

Fantastic
I purchased this for my '05 Avalanche 5.3L. As stated on the page it was very easy to install. I think it took me a little less than the 90 minutes stated in the instructions. I noticed an immediate increase in the amount of get up on the highway. I also have a Gibson Dual Extreme Exhaust system on my truck and on the highway it you give it a little gas the roar from the intake completely drowns out the exhaust. I haven't put enough gas through it yet to speak to any mpg increase but I reset my mpg monitor on my truck when I installed it and it does seem to have gone up. Although so far for the first week I've had it installed I've been to into the gas to help my mpg :). I totally recommend this to anyone looking for a quick increase in hp and a little noise to boot. One piece of advice be careful when you are attaching the Mass Airflow Sensor to the mounting plate. The MAS is made of a plastic housing so the screws never really get tight. I had to watch carefully while tightening to make sure I didn't crack it.

Increased My MPGS!
I have a 2005 Gmc Yukon.I have flowmaster exhaust, and hypertech eco programer. With this cold air intake and the other listed upgrades my yukon now gets 18 city/22 hwy. Which is a great improvement, because before I did the mods I was getting 14-15 city/ 17 hwy. I bought the used one from amazon warehouse deals, The item came in original packaging with all original parts and did not look used at all. (I do not think it was used at all) The intake was fairly easy to install. I have no car mechanic skills and i could do it. Make sure you assemble the intake box outside the truck way easier to do. I used the youtube install video to help me with the install. The Intake along with the other upgrades really did work for better mpgs. Its all about driving habits as well. Before I started this project I could not find any one else on the internet who did the same mods. So if you are wondering if this will work for mpgs I am here to tell you that it really works.

Haven't been able to use it yet.
Package came and I was excited to put this on my 6.0l Escalade, had everything disassembled on OEM setup, opened the box...no housing plates. Filter, tube, and fittings were there, just no housing plates. What a huge disappointment. No customer service on the weekends, means I won't be able to get them and put it on before my Thanksgiving trip next week. Super disappointed. Shouldn't have to worry about all the parts being there when ordering from a reputable international brand.

Sounds pretty good
You can definitely hear the engine better. Just a note: you can tell that the engine sound is flowing through a plastic tube. The sound is a little plasticky, but deep. I would be curious what the model sounds like with the aluminum tube. I bet it sounds better. I can’t say that either acceleration or throttle response have increased. I can’t tell if they have. I did have a drop in K&N air filter prior to this in the stock air box, so maybe that one had some gains over the stock paper filter, and that’s why I’m not noticing a change, I don’t know. I also just did my plugs earlier this week. But, I’ll say this: I can hear the engine much better now, and that gives me a few more smiles per gallon.

Made a believer outta me!
Aloha from Hawaii! Like many of you reading this review, I was hesitant about the ability for a bolt on product to increase power AND mileage. I had monitored mileage from the time I bought the truck (07 Silverado Classic Extended Cab with 5.3 motor) and noticed a definite increase in mileage! Although I don't have any dyno results to show for it, the motor pulls harder and longer. Overtaking slower traffic while going uphill is effortless! Just have to remember not to keep the go-pedal punched too long or the increased mileage will run away from you! All in all, an awesome product at a great price with long term benefits! I highly recommend it and hope this review helps!

top notch product
This is my first kn experience. Some of my friends have them on race cars/project vehicles. Here the problem: my awd 05 Yukon Denali got under 10mpg city and 12.7 on the highway with the wind blowing from the back. After I installed the kn intake, my truck sounds like it's got an attitude when I step on it, sounds tame at idle, and the most important thing it gets 14.8 mpg city and around 19 highway. These numbers blew my mind. I expected a little better mileage but these are real numbers and I couldn't be more satisfied. I know 19hwy still sucks but considering the fact that it improved on average by 50% I can not complain about that! The only problem I ran into while installing it was that the supplied screws were too short to fit through my maf sensor so I ran down to ace hardware and picked up a set for 3 bucks that were a tad bit longer and voila. Everything fit perfectly. Great great deal
