My catdog (Jack) had tape worm. First step get rid of all flees. capstar pill, and this collar. I had no more flee and tick problems since. That was the easy part. He also seemed to attracts ticks more then any animal I've ever seen. I haven't seen one since putting this on him months ago! This collar worked great for me. The Tapeworms were a different story. I gave up go to the vet get the 40 dollar pill. Save your self time and money. I have yet to find anything that works for Tapeworms but that 40 pill. Probably why shelters don't bother treating for Tapeworms.

I especially like the good work this collar does to keep fleas off of my dog. The prescription medication is a bit costly and for less expense, I believe the collar works just as well. I will buy it again. My dog doesn't seem to even realize there is another collar on him in addition to his standard collar. I do recommend this product.

The fleas are unmerciful to my poor dog this year. I give him baths with flea shampoo, spray Wondercide on him, use the generic version of Frontline and put this collar on him. I would think one or all of these things would slow down the flea activity but no. I have to think that this is a preventive use item and not a curative.
