Family questing at its best
I have only recently found the Storymaster's Tales series and I have to say they have been amazing.Dracodeep Dungeon continues that trend. The rules are easy enough to follow and still give you room to manipulate as you wish. The story is engaging and you have a whole new dimension with the addition of soundscapes that you can play through you mobile or tablet which provide atmospheric music and parts of the story being read out too. This and the others in the series (Weirding Woods) have introduced my children to a whole new way to use their imaginations and re awaken my long forgotten love of this type of book driven game. The social media pages related to this are friendly and helpful too and Olly Mc the creator is fully involved and values the community input.Buy these books with confidence that you have hours, nay years of fun ahead of you.

Brilliant for new and experienced gamers
Having already bought the weirding woods I wanted to pick up more books from the series and this doesn’t disappoint. Has the same quality of art work and content as the other books have. If your looking for a gamebook you can’t really go wrong here as there’s plenty of content for your money to keep you coming back.Add in you can play as a group or solo and the sound scapes that you can use to accompany the book and you’d be a fool not to take a chance on it.

Quality is poor
This is my 2nd order of these books (Bought 4) I can't believe how warped they are. Also one was damaged as seen in photo. I don't know whether to return them, as it looks like this is the quality of the paper/print process, rather than anything else. I certainly feel they should be better quality for the price. The only reason I'm going to persevere is because of the positive reviews on the quality of the content. Having watched some videos I'm sure I would enjoy the game side of things. This review is for the quality of the books themselves. Not the content.

Loved it!
Oh, this is great! I was already a fan of the Storymaster system, which is simple to utilise, good for introducing kids to RPG, evocative while succinct, replayable and has just enough stating and character classing to generate some meat in play. If 'Weirding Woods' (which I enjoyed) is a riff on 'Forest of Doom', then 'Dracodeep' is a riff on an all time favourite - Fighting Fantasy's 'Deathtrap Dungeon'.I love the fact that Dracodeep is less straightforward and more ambiguous than some of 'Woods', that it hints at being layered in history and that it's obviously home to some non human communities, such as Orcs and Vampires, which recur. It also contains some links to 'Woods' so if you have that book, you can link the geography of the two together.
