Q: How thick is the fabric?

Not uber thin or flimsy, and not thick enough for a lot of warmth unless you layer up. I'd say it feels like tee-shirt material but 2-3 times thicker. It's soft and the picture doesn't do it justice. It's definitely worth the money!

Q: Are the pockets functional? They look kind of small. Would they hold a large cell phone?

To be honest, no, at least not safely. I don’t put my phone in the pockets I’m afraid it’ll fall out. The pockets are small and really thin.

Q: Does this jacket have thumb holes?

No it does not. The material is very lightweight if you're looking for something to throw over work-out clothes.

Q: I am 5’6, 130 lbs what size would work best?

Depends on what fit you are looking for. I wonted it very loose fitting ,so i ordered large. I am 5'8, 130 lbs. I got what I wanted. I would say they are very true to size so just order what you would normally wear or depending on the look you are after.
