Bandai Hobby HGUC 1/144#87 MS-06F Zaku II FZ 0083: Stardust Memory Model Kit

A great kit with more articulation than other Zaku kits. Lots of opportunities for customization if you get other Zeon kits too. Best of all, you get the B type Stahlhelm head for the Zaku.Building - Since it's a grunt suit, the build is less complex than most HGUC Gundams (Mono-eye stickers are so much easier than Gundam eyes) and more so than the older GM kits. It has a few more pieces than the typical Zaku but not in the way of weapons. The reason for this is that it is also the machine belonging to one of the series' protagonists. As a result, you only get the weapons shown in the 0080: War in the Pocket OAV. The Zaku II Kai was a very easy and very fun build. A little bit more complex than the Zaku II F2 but mainly because it renders more articulation. It really can sit down on a paint pot from most modeling companies.Accessories - This is rather the downpoint if you're interested in weapons. It only comes with a heat hawk, which it cannot hold securely in its left hand. The MP-80 gun looks rather good on it. However, if you own or get other Zeon suits (Dom Tropen, Zaku II F2, etc.) most of those weapons can fit quite nicely on it. The highlight for me of this kit was the B type helmet, which looks like the German M35 helmet. Makes the Zaku stand out as a mobile suit and emphasizes the WW2 German influence in Zeon.I cannot recommend it enough to anyone either looking to get Zeon suits or simply into Gunpla. As a straight build, it looks great. It's so good that I have already bought a second kit to customize.

I've always had a soft spot for Zakus and this kit is just a perfect example of a kit done right. Needs almost no paint , just a bit of panel lining. It comes with multiple heads, a heat hawk, a huge gun, and it just looks awesome. Leg motion on all of my other Zakus was really limited by the skirts, but not on this guy. It can even sit down just like in the anime. Took about two hours to build,and I couldn't be happier with the results. I'd list the negatives, but so far there aren't any. This kit is a must buy.

The HGUC Zaku II FZ is a very fun and simple kit to build. This is a 2008 hguc kit, so the articulation is not going to be that mind blowing, but I think it still holds up well with other modern high grades. You can pull off most poses that you’d expect a Zaku to do and It is able stand well though. My only issues with this kit is that none of the hands are able to make a better grip with the heat hawk, and it's very loose. The gun is also one color, but I’m not sure if it was suppose to be accurate to the anime. The vernier nozzles could need some painting as well.Overall, I do like this kit. It was a nice and simple build. Now I will say that there is a hg origins Zaku II that fixes the the problems that previous hg Zakus had in the past, and the articulation on those kits is amazing. But If you want a nice looking Zaku like the Zaku II FZ, go for it. If you can pick it up cheap it’s also worth it. If you want a kit that takes a bit of work and comes out looking great? Go for it.

Its a good way to pass some time, without having to play video games.

This was a Birthday gift for a person who never asks for anything - and he loved it. The quality looks good, it was well packaged and just such a relief that it was okay. I was worried that I wouldn’t know the condition till he saw it, if. It would b what we ordered, etc. but you don’t have to with this seller. I’m not sure on Assembly ease as it’s not me doing the - well, assembling- but I will ask later if possible. It doesn’t look as difficult as those tiny metal model kits, if that helps. Also, if you find the pens/paint for this brand, it would make a good extra gift, co-gift, or a gift part 2.

Well, since my kid is building a Freddie army of GMs and Gundams/Gun Cannons, I got to step up and get my hands on more Zeon MS. This is is pretty solid one and easy to put together. Only down side is.. need more of them weapons! Only a machine gun, heat hawk just not enough. I thought the grenade can be used, but they were only use as decoration. All in all, if you want more Zaku, get it.

Great kit! It went together fairly quick with no issues. This was my first Zaku and definitely not the last!
