Does the job for me!!! Excellent product
Purchased a covercraft light weight cover for a 2013 Ford Flex. The cover fit like a glove, with one problem........ the front end. The Flex has a rounded front and no "bumper" per se. Depending on how it's parked in relation to the wind, wind speed and direction, the front end of the cover tended to billow up and slipped off in gusty conditions. Saw these so I decided to give it a try. Works like a dream. No problem handling 20-25mph steady winds with 30+mph gusts. I clipped it to the double stitched part of the cover just in front of the front wheel, stretched the bungee cord under and attached to the other side. Held the cover firmly and it didn't move an inch. Clips are Easy on / easy off and are quality made. So if you have problems with covers or tarps coming off of anything in windy conditions, this could be your answer.

Excellent if you vehicle is in a high wind location
Purchased this in conjunction with a cover. While the cover is great in a "no wind" location, if there is occasional high winds this is a "must have" for a "peace of mind." It works and is easy to apply. The only improvement is a bungee cord for the middle of most car covers where they usually have grommets for a locking cable. I don't feel the need for a locking cable and what I did is purchase a separate bungee cord. To apply I tied a length of cord to one end, and in operation, toss the bungee from one side to the other. I then walk to the other side, attach the bungee to the grommet and from the other side pull the bungee, via the attached cord, and then affix it to the grommet on the other side. This is an additional level of security that is easy yet provides additional security. While this sounds complicated, in reality it is a piece of cake and more than easy.

Very good, but did not last more than four (4) seasons.
Very good, but did not last more than four (4) seasons.I live in a very windy area and I have had the bungee cords in use for about 13 months.Pros: Very strong attachment. Easy to attach. All through the year, these bungee cords and clips stayed on the car cover, keeping it down with one (1) exception: very powerful winds caused one of the clips to rip through the car cover. All of the clips were still attached to the car cover, but part of the car cover (with a clip) had ripped away from the rest and the bungee cord snapped off. This left the car cover ripped and blowing in the wind.Fortunately, the other clips and bungee cord helped to keep the car cover from blowing away en totale. Of course, I had also used tent stakes to keep the car cover in place. Needless to say, I was impressed with the strength of the bungees and clips.I have had no problems attaching the clips to my car covers (yes, I have used more than one (1) car cover), even when it was a bit windy and cold enough to numb my fingertips.Cons: Bungee cords do not last longer than one (1) year. One of the bungee cords (holding the rear of the car cover down) came loose a week ago and allowed the car cover to blow over to the front of my car.The front bungee and a cable under the car kept the car cover from blowing away entirely. The bungee in the rear was longer than 6 feet, so I had to tie a knot in it to be able to keep the rear of the car cover down. I will need a new bungee. The bungee in the front of the car is longer than it was last year, but not too long to be of no use.Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend it to others.

A must have if you get high winds
I have a fitted CarCovers.com cover for my car but find it comes off way too easily in even light winds. The wind gets under the edges at the passenger door area, inflates it and eventually pulls it loose. The area I’m in (Hawaii) can have strong and unexpected winds up to 60+ mph (so far). This kit looks to be the answer as I wouldn’t trust any cover in those winds although I’m a bit disappointed even less than 10mph is enough to pull it loose. This was super easy to install. Four ratcheting clips grab the edges of the cover at the front/rear corners and then bungee cords span between the clips to keep the cover in place. I haven’t seen high enough winds to be sure yet but it seems pretty solid and secure. Also pretty easy to remove the cords when I use the car. The real test will be how it all hangs together when the high winds roll in again.

Great!
This is a great wind gust tie-down strap for an external car cover. I live in an area where wind gusts can reach up to 26 mph. I just checked the weather forecast and this is what is expected today, starting in an hour’s time and last up to 3 hours. Given the above scenario, I just went out and applied these straps.I gave a “great” review because when I was installing one of the first batch of straps, one of the black clothes-pin-like clamps broke - just one of them. I immediately reached out to Amazon and was promptly sent out a replacement. Since I installed this batch, it has been problem-free for me. I returned the defective batch to Amazon as they requested.

Situationally Good
Four plastic clips and two bungie cords. It's good once on but the clips are weak and want to pop off when putting it on. To attach them properly they need to rest against a thick seam or the cover needs to be very thin so they can cut in and get grip. If the covering is thick (aka a good cover) they won't grip unless they're sitting just so. Permanently attaching the clips is a better option - they aren't set up to be permanently attached. You can get better clips from camping supplies search screw tarp/tent clamps.
