For quite some time now I have been struggling to find a blond shade that will cover my increasing greys, without fading completely in the next 3 weeks (naturally mousy brown with salt and pepper grey growing through heavily).I used this today, for the recommended 35 minutes for roots plus 10 minutes for the lengths (for this shade) and this has made a big difference compared to other brands.It doesn’t smell like it’s been dyed and it hasn’t irritated my scalp at all. 511 has turned out a lovely light blond and not overly ashy.I’ve tried numerous brands through decades of colouring my own hair and was on the verge of either going grey “gracefully” at the age of 48 or engaging a colourist. This has made me wonder if there is finally a brand that can deliver what I need. Time will tell, and will reflect on this review in 3 weeks although it appears to have lifted the colour completely in the tonal way the product claims to so I am ever hopeful and so far impressed.

It did a good job of colouring my greys and blending in my roots, but it's not the product I remember buying at the supermarket when they used to sell it. This one has a strong permanent hair dye smell which worried me and it irritated my scalp whilst the one I used to buy did not.

I got fed up of paying a small fortune at a salon for my hair to look average. So I gave this ash blonde a try and I love it. My hair looks better than the salon did it and a fraction of the price. My hair feels in great condition and it obliterated the yellow tones 😊 my hairs medium thick collar bone length. I used one box but in the future I’d use 2.

This dye obviously contains bleach as it lightens the hair several shades.I used this has I had accidentally left my normal dye on for too long (dealing with a poorly Daughter) so my blonde highlighted hair had gone too dark.Using this got the colour back and I added extra highlights to my fringe, and toned down the base colour.This dye is ok.It is more expensive than my normal 'Nice and Easy' dye and does not contain the multi tonal shades I prefer for a natural highlighted look.This is a flat colour.I purchased it only because I could get it the same day via Prime and it was light enough to do the job.I can not say I would purchase this product again.

My first time using this variation of hair dye. I can highly recommend it. I have dark brown hair with some grey that comes through. This colour matches mine. The colours are beautiful. My hair looks and feels healthy. I had no irritation. The reason I bought this was my usual brand had started to irritate me. I am going through menopause. My skin has become much more sensitive. I am very happy I found this.
