When your looking for the best taste in Prosciutto look no further than San Daniele!
This selected dry cured Prosciutto Ham arrived in perfect condition, inside a sealed cooler. Once unwrapped it reminded me of the Jamon Serrano we used to buy in Madrid, as to taste, to me it is close to the Serrano but looking at the price difference makes the San Daniele taste even better!#Amazon

Delicious San Daniele prosciutto and good customer service
This San Daniele prosciutto was very good, not too salty, very sweet. I prefer San Daneiele over Parma prosciutto and this ham reminded me why. I love the sweet (but not too sweet) flavor and dark red color. The ham arrived from Alma Gourmet ahead of shedule and well packaged. I would order from Alma Gourmet again.

Quite different from Prosciutto di Parma
I use prosciutto as a low carb high protein snack with fruit. Ordered this after finishing a Prosciutto di Parma red label and a more generic Prosciutto. I was looking for less saltiness and more sweetness, which is what Prosciutto San Daniele is known for. Although this came from the same vendor as the Prosciutto di Parma, the two couldn't have been more different. The di Parma was extremely moist. This Prosciutto is much drier and seems more aged. It has a slight gamy character so make sure you like that. I would say the di Parma is sweeter-tasting. This is not boneless - the trotter is still attached. Be careful ordering this in the summer if you're not on the east coast as this vendor (in NJ) ships with very few ice packs and it will arrive with a lot of melted fat.
