This is a quality filter
Seems like the smaller O ring is a little to large. I was able to force it in the groove. Denso should investigate if the wrong O ring is being provided.

Works on a 2007 Lexus RX350
Something interesting compared to the previous filter I've used from AC Delco, the Denso ones don't have this cap on the top/bottom, it's open. Toyota's own 04152-YZZA1 filter has a similar style to this Denso filter, so I assume it's fine. The only downside is price: Toyota's own filters (Toyota makes them in Thailand) have a lower MSRP than this Denso one, and a lot of times if you buy online through a dealership they have sales that discount it even lower than MSRP. Overall though, works in my 2007 RX350 perfectly fine w/out issues so far

Made With More Pleats
On August 27, 2022 I bought this Denso 150-3021 Oil Filter. For comparison I also bough the genuine Toyota brand 04152-YZZA1 box of 5 oil filters on Amazon from Toyota of North Miami. The Denso filter came as a kit with a large O-ring (for the oil filter housing), a small O-ring (for the oil filter drain plug), and a "service pipe" (a plastic insert to drain the oil filter housing). The box is labeled as being made in China.Each Toyota filter also came as a kit with a large O-ring , a small O-ring , a "service pipe," AND an oil drain plug gasket. The box (with hologram Toyota sticker) is labeled as being made in Thailand.Other than the oil drain plug gasket which is provided with the Toyota filter and not with the Denso filter, one difference between these two filters is the number of pleats. The Denso filter has 51 pleats, while the Toyota filter has only 44 pleats. The Denso filter also has heavier extruded plastic hubs on top and bottom, while the Toyota product has thin, clear, poured plastic hubs. Otherwise they are similar.Incidentally, the Toyota box has complete instructions for changing the oil, together with clear, detailed diagrams illustrating the procedure. No instructions come with the Denso filter. However the box containing the Denso filter indicates that this product replaces Fram CH9972, Purolater L25608, ansd Wix 57047 filters.
