Authentic looking and nicely made. I’m looking forward to wearing it as part of my conductor costume.

Used for a costume, great hat

They seem well made but the fit was not so good for me. Will look for something different. Maybe another style.

Excellent quality for a costume

For the price (I paid $8.58), this Jacobson conductor cap is a nice quality costume hat. The hat body and brim are made with a sturdy plastic and the hat is covered with an attractive dark navy blue fabric. The brim is covered with a shiny black vinyl. The black strap on the front of the cap is also a shiny black vinyl and is tacked on with domed metal tacks. The inside hat band is made of a comfortable black cotton. I added the conductor badge using printer paper and Word. I am a size 7, and the hat fits loose but not enough that it falls off.The bad:While each piece of the hat is good quality, the assembly is terrible! The brim and hat strap are WAY off center from the shape of the hat body. Photo three shows where the tacks are located on the hat band in relation to the hat body's oval shape. Because of this, the hat looks awkward whether you center the brim or the body on your head.Overall, this hat will be a good costume piece for someone on a budget or someone who will use it once.

My 5 year old grandson is obsessed with trains. We used to live in NYC before he was born. My daughter and I decided to take him to NYC and have him ride the LIRR and the subway. My cousin is a conductor and he gave my grandson one of his hats. He wanted to wear it when we were going to ride the LIRR. As we walked onto the platform to wait for the train, the wind took his hat and blew it onto the middle of the tracks. He had a total meltdown. When we got back to our home state I decided he needed another hat. I went online to search for one and couldn't believe how authentic this looked for such a marvelous price! When I gave it to him, he looked at me and breathlessly asked, "How did you get it off of the tracks?" This may have been the best thing I've ever purchased!

Good quality. After reading some of the worse reviews I was hesitant to purchase, but the fabric is of good quality. It was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition, no crushing or bends. It is a bit big for my children, but I knew going in that it was not child sized. They still play with it and it doesn't swallow their whole head so it suits its purpose well. My child who is super into trains and Polar Express just loves it. My only issue is that I would have loved a gold plate or quality patch in the front that said "conductor" on it. That really would have made this awesome.
