97 Tacoma 4x4 taillight assembly LS
I had to take the plug off the back of the light assembly so it would properly fit. The assembly is a bit deeper than the original. Works great so I ordered one for the passenger side to match. They are so much brighter than the original 28 year old ones.

Perfect for on 2000 Tacoma Prerunner
Screwed right in place and look great. I did have to relocate the wiring harness though because it's 1/4 inch off and wine mount unless modified

Nice fit, much better than the ones they replaced
I didn't much care for the tailights having the wiring for the reverse and brake lights swapped. Couldn't tell during initial installation. Found the "quick disconnect/connect " improperly installed/ swapped. Kinda wanted the new lights to come out of the box wired properly. It's OK, I got time to fix something so bizarre.

Worthless and had to pay shipping to return. RUN.
Easy enough to install and looked good. Until electricity was applied.Nothing about these worked properly. When the brakes were applied the turn signal indicators (little green arrows) in the dash lit up and the door chime rang. When I turned on the hazard flashers the tag lights (!) and the 3rd brake light flashed and nothing else. When I turned on the blinkers they worked until I applied the brakes then nothing lit up.Maybe good for target practice.

Taillights work but beware of problems
Out of the box these taillights look close to OEM taillights but slightly lighter in build. The electrical connector on the taillights have to be unscrewed and left to hang free or the will interfere with mounting the taillights. The connector will contact the body and hold the taillight away from the mounting points. After making the required change to allow the taillights to be installed I tried each light, both turn signals worked. I then put the vehicle in reverse and the brake lights illuminated. I removed the taillights and discovered that the bulbs and sockets were swapped between the backup lights and brake lights. Fairly easy fix, just twist, remove, reinstall, twist. I reinstalled the taillights and employed my wife to actuate each light while I watched. No brake lights! I checked the fuse, blown. Removed taillights again and checked resistance for each element in the 1157 brakelight bulbs. One bulb measured 0.4 ohms. 12V/0.4 ohms = 30 amps. Changed that bulb, replaced fuse and now everything is working again.
