Lovely bit of kit, very sturdy and easy to set up

Great build quality

with a few tweaks you can make this work as a short term fix. I need to travel equipment that doesn’t weigh a ton when away from my home studio. This was a tad less sturdy for my expensive mic. Argh. But I made it work.

Base not big/heavy enough to hold mic. Falls over regularly

I have a AT2020 and this stand does not keep it standing reliably enough to trust it.At the very shortest setting, it will stand but if you blow on it too hard, it'll probably topple.Would never risk having the mic on the tallest adjustment -hence, it's pretty useless.The base is heavy so if you have a smaller/lighter mic, maybe it'll work for you? The diameter of the base isn't sufficient to balance it for heavier mics.I have to hold it with one hand all the time which is not only awkward but will affect sound quality. I don't recommend for anyone with a decent size condenser mic.

The media could not be loaded. Not good for large microphones that you want to position vertically. It will tip over. Very well solidly made.

Once a mic is placed in the stand, the centre of balance is totally lost and you have to be very careful not to move the stand as it will very likely fall over. As an alternative to a boom arm, it works but only just. If I could fit a boom arm on my desk, I would go back to that rather than use this mic stand.
