4X Blue Pond Dye is a super concentrated liquid dye that transforms dull, murky ponds and lakes into vibrant natural blue waters. BELIEVE THEM when they say it's concrentrated!!!
My husband ordered this after reading through many product descriptions, but failed to realize exactly HOW concentrated this dye actually is. It does what it says it will, -killing algae and coloring the water. He put in about a teaspoon, which will apparently treat a body of water about 15x's the size of ours. Even though it's quite dark right now, we're looking forward to seeing the level of blue after a winter of Washington rain. Great value for the money, you definitely don't need to use much!

Best bank for your bucks
I use dye in a large pond. This works as well as anything I have tried. The one gallon 4X goes a long way.

It makes my brown pond blue (ish)
My pond is a very cloudy, chocolate milky color on a normal basis. I use one bottle of this in my .9 acre pond and a few hours later the whole thing is is a blue-ish green color. If the water was clearer I'm sure it would be more blue, but it's starting with a very, very cloudy pond. They say it helps with algae growth, too. It's difficult to measure that impact, but my pond does have a minimal amount of it.I re-use every 2-3 months to keep the color. It does fade over this time, but it's still visibly bluer than it would otherwise be.

Best pond dye
This is by far the best pond dye we have used. It lasts for months longer than the dye we used to purchase from TSC.

Turn you blue turns the fish blue
No photos because I can't see in the water when I used this. I bought this to help keep my tiny pond cooler for my fish, it turned the white spots blue on them (didn't seem to hurt them at all) turned my fingers blue and whole hand and arm when I reach in the pond to remove debris. Maybe I added too much so I added less after I cleaned the pond, nope still blue.

Kept algae bloom down
My pond was covered with algae. Had to use Cutrine and copper sulfate to clear it but since I put 4X Pond Dye in my acre pond the water has remained blue with no algae. Plenty of birds, fish, frogs and turtles use the pond with no issues. I add more dye when the temps get high or after heavy rain, but normally use 4 bottles per month in summer.
