My doctor prescribed Lovaza for me but my health insurance company wouldn't cover it. I found another ArcticPure fish oil capsules formulation that was close in strength to it. Then I found these on Amazon which surpass Lovaza in amount of Omega 3 concentration per capsule. So, instead of taking 4 Lovaza per day I only take 3 of these. There are absolutely no side effects with me. One reviewer didn't like that the mercury content of the fish wasn't reported on the label. First, not one fish oil capsule label I've read lists mercury on it. None. Next, Supercritical co2-based extraction is used to remove impurities and this process is far superior to molecular distillation. So, I'm not worried about the mercury or any other impurity content.The deal closer was this: prescription-only Lovaza costs about $280-$520 per MONTH. This AP fish oil capsules formulation only costs me about $7 per month and there's more fish oil in each capsule than Lovaza. This is a great deal AND I got free shipping from the seller. Win-Win for me.

These cost more than the average Omega-3 fish oil capsules but they are worth it. I have never had any issues with upset stomach or "fish burps" with these. Also, because of the very high potency, you can get more than a gram of Omega-3 with one capsule. This makes these more efficient and actually more economical than some brands. Highly purified and Source Naturals is a well-regarded company. I highly recommend these.

No fishy after taste. My son takes two once a day for his ADD. Which for him has helped with mental concentration (need to take daily for approximately 3 months to see notable difference). I take two as well as prescribed by my optometrist for extreme dry eyes.

I liked how much EPA and DHA are in each capsule. I bought it mainly because it was made through CO2 based extraction, which is suppose to preserve more of the benefits of fish oil than molecular distillation, while still filtering out the toxins. I did get the fish burp a few times, but it wasn't frequent and I feel like it usually happened if I took them without a meal.

I purchased this brand because the Carlson fish oil I usually take isn't currently available. Thirty minutes after eating lunch and taking the gel caps with a protein drink, I can taste fish. I never had a single fish burp with Carlson. Thanks, I hate it.Edit one week later: HOURS OF NAUSEATING FISH BURPS. I've tried taking them before a meal, during, after, with water, with protein shake, at breakfast, at lunch, at dinner. No matter when or how, it tastes like chum and stomach acid. I have never had this happen with a better brand. DO NOT BUY.

I like this brand better than most brands. I am trying one other wild salmon fish oil & then decide which one is the winner! You can take a lot less capsules with this brand if you need a high dosage of omega-3. I like the fact that it is made from salmon but it has been refined to take out any impuritys & concentrated which is good. This is my 2nd favorite fish oil. Please read my reviews for my #1 choice for fish oil so far.
