As a constant patron of LEDs, El-Wire, and other luminous technology for use in my party deco and festival art installations, I have explored MANY different lighting products over the years.Meijiajia LED Neon Strip Lights are the first affordable strip lights I've purchased that come with a flexible, functional, diffuser - which has been a total GAME CHANGER!I will never go back to LEDs without a diffusion surface - they change the whole vibe of the space and make it more pleasing and less distracting on the eyes.The plastic clips for attaching them to surfaces are very useful because you can still move the strip through them or remove it without damaging the clips. Unlike older designs that either destroy your surface or wallpaper with adhesives, or force you to take out the hardware if you need to adjust your lights.I've since purchased several more of these and begun replacing the lighting in my house with them!I would say the only potential downsides - and likely just for those who are not adept at electrical/deco solutions - are:-they require a power supply (I happen to have crates of these for just this purpose)-they draw a significant amount of wattage, making them unusable with certain portable battery units (but not all)-and, like ALL strip lights, one must get creative with how to mount them around corners or bends (though they are more flexible than most strips I've used) - but they come with very useful hardware and splicing wires and caps for just this purpose, if one were so inclined to snip and re-wire...I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO NON-DIFFUSED LEDS!

I've been working with this material for over a year - it is very good for what it presents in brightness and similarity to actual neon. The signs I make are routed in either acrylic or wood, with an 1/4 inch router bit. The material fits in the channel made by the bit perfectly, but please be aware the bends will never be close to square due to the way the material is designed. Also do not forget this material does not come with a power adapter, so it will be up to you to get one appropriate for the amount of light you wire together. For really small signs 12V 1.5A is good, but for bigger ones you may need up to 5V. Also be aware when soldering at the cut lines, the LED's closest to the copper pads may blow and your sign will have dim spots. Bottom line, it can be frustrating to work with, but if you realize actual neon signs have gaps, are not perfectly bent, and may lose a bit of brightness here or there - and that this material should be a tribute to actual neon and not a replacement - your experience can be much better.
