The lying, huckster scumbags who write blogs and make infomercials claiming that they tested 20 of the top brands of probiotics and they were all dead and useless. These people are of course lying their faces off. You don't have to spend $200 on boutique probiotics to get quality. NOW makes excellent and affordable supplements and that really irriates the crap out of these expensive supplement companies. 5 stars.

I take heavy duty antibiotics for a respiratory issue. My doctor wanted me to take a probiotic daily to replace the good bacteria that the antibiotics kill.These probiotics have a very high count of active organisms, my Dr. likes that. They are tasteless and very easy to swallow capsules. I haven't had any side effects so they seem to be working.According to the label and information on Amazon, these need to be refrigerated to keep the organisms alive. The price is reasonable too.*** UPDATE ***I bought a 250 count bottle of this supplement. I took them according to the label, "1 capsule 1 to 4 times daily between meals or on an empty stomach." I took 1 capsule once daily on an empty stomach.In the beginning of the 3rd month, I started having terrible stomach cramps. I keep a daily log of each Rx or supplement I take. The only change to my diet, Rx, or supplement use was the "NOW Supplements, Acidophilus".I stopped taking these for 3 weeks. The stomach cramps stopped within 3 days. After 3 weeks I started taking these again, 1 capsule once daily on an empty stomach, the same as the first time I took them. At beginning of the 3rd month, I started having terrible stomach cramps again.I stopped taking these again and within 3 days the stomach cramps stopped. I waited a couple of weeks and started taking a different Acidophilus Probiotic and I've had no stomach cramps at all.

I have taken these frequently over my years of life 80 years that’s a long time.I don’t use every day onl occasionally when I need to get my Gut in balance.They work very well.Quality is great.

I read a review on Reddit that recommended using this supplement while taking doxycycline, and I have to say it helped a lot. It kept my gut regular and prevented that awful feeling like it was being torn apart by the medication.

This product has it all:<> a ton of probiotics per serving<> as well as lots of servings<> all for an affordable price point.This goes down easily. It's normal pill sized so it won't get stuck on it's way down with water. It did not mess with my stomach (some probiotics seem to do that to me). There's no weird aroma and bcz you get so many, you don't need to constantly worry about running low/out. I would 100% reccomend this product !!

I have Ulcerative Colitis and feel I do better with acidophilus supplementation (I used to make yogurt but don't eat animal products anymore).For acidophilus, it seems like from everything I've read, the more the merrier. Acidophilus overgrowth is extremely rare to unheard of. On the other hand a lot of other bacteria strains can more easily cause overgrowth, and most probiotic supplements have a mixture of strains including acidophilus but others as well.So I appreciate that this is just acidophilus. It's inexpensive, high CFU count, and has no trash in the ingredients list. Exactly what I want.

Does exactly what it suppose to. I’ve been taking this on and off since I was a child and it’s just an amazing product. It can be taken on an empty stomach and it works well with other pre and probiotics.
