Cough no more - I love these lozenges, I break them in half, put it between cheek & gum & do not cough at all. Throat soothing & throat calming!

I love Fisherman's Friend (Extra Strong variety)!!!.I first purchased these in 2003 when I was in Europe (COLD and RAINY!) for Bowie's Reality Tour and had lost my voice, sinuses stopped up, throat killing me, COUGHING like crazy, etc., by the time I got to Belgium. I found these in a train station and figured they'd be the ones to try if they were good enough for European sea fishermen! Well, that and that they had the most menthol of the choices (10mg)!They did the trick! Near-instant relief! My voice was several days coming back (I had a pharmacist help me figure out something to try to help from a medicine perspective), but Fisherman's Friend kept all the other things under control, so it was much easier to manage. I was no longer trying hopelessly to suppress my cough- which only turns out to be a louder explosion of coughing sounds when you can no longer keep it in... O M G!!!!I had never noticed these in the US, but was thrilled to see they are indeed sold here when I got back home. I NEVER travel without a pack of these now and keep them on hand during the cold months- my go-to for cough/ sinus stuff.About the lozenges:They have a slight licorice/ anise taste, STRONG menthol, and their texture reminds me of Necco Wafers- flat and non-slippy (but are NOT SWEET like Neccos). Shape is oblong. Their being flat means they are less obtrusive when you're trying to talk and can also be pocketed in your gum line (convenient, too, if you're trying to help numb a tooth ache/ mouth pain). I also appreciate that, compared to traditional bulky, slick/ hard-candy-like cough drops, they pose little to no danger of chipping/ breaking teeth if you get inpatient and decide to crunch them up instead of letting them dissolve. Who would do that anyway?!?You're also able to carry a lot more of these with you in a pocket-sized space than you could with a traditional bulky cough drop and don't have to worry with wrapping (they are not individually wrapped, which I like) and the zip-lock-like resealable pouch is quick to open and close-- the sort of things that'd be handy if you were...hmm... working on a fishing boat in harsh conditions!We all need friends! Buy them and keep buying them!.

These lozenges are strong. They do what they're supposed too!

I have used these cough drops and appreciate the fact that they are strong and not just flavored candy type, They do the job when you have a cough.

I like the Fisherman’s Lozenges because they really work and for an extensive amount of time. They are small flat disks unlike a huge cough drop.
