TANAY - Pure Ceylon Tea (1000g)

Q: What grade is this product?

I’m not sure how it would be described professionally, however I can describe it as :- quite large rolls of leaves that open up when steeping into 1cm size. For me it has a nice flavour profile depending on water hardness. I use Tesco Ashbeck for tea, which is low in temporary calcium hardness and is towards 6 on ph so slightly acidic. I am using this tea to make earl grey using a cold pressed bergamot oil. This tea fits the profile of more expensive blends I tried, but is not a blend but has a complex flavour profile. It has a slight brightness or bite for my brewing that I like and did not find in other more expensive teas. Hope this helps
