REN Bio Retinoid Youth Serum, 30 ML

The serum works well as the first layer of product on my face and makes it feel smooth. I have rosacea and this product does not seem to aggravate it. The only issue I have is the scent is a little strong.

This serum is a milky white and lightweight. Although mostly absorbed, I did feel it left a thin layer on top of my skin, which felt pleasantly moisturizing. The plant alternative to retinol did NOT irritate my skin at all. It smoothed my fine lines and skin tone.What I did not like is the scent. It's a sweet floral with a bit of sourness. I didn't care for this type of floral at all - it smelled fake rather than fresh. If this were offered with a more pleasing scent, or fragrance free, it would be 5 stars.I also had trouble with the pump, but not sure if that was just a fluke. For an expensive product I was disappointed in quality of pump and could not use. Waste of money. Too bad because other cremes are good

I thought I would give this a try to use on my sensitive areas of my face instead of retinol.First off, the scent is terrible. Imagine finding a bottle of b&bw lotion that's been at the bottom of box for 10, 15 years. You see that it's changed colors and maybe slightly separated. You get curious, open it up and sniff. Ugh! Yeah. It smells like that.Second, the consistency is more suitable for dry skins. I have combination and it made my face feel greasy. It also didn't absorb well, leading to pilling or rubbing off if I put more than 1 drop on.Third, the star ingredient is pretty far down the list. I would think for something that's supposed to rival retinol products, you would make it more concentrated.The only positive is that it caused zero irritation.

I love it. Really did smooth out small lines!

As recommended from REN, I added this Youth Serum to my morning and evening skincare routines and it leaves my skin feeling plump, nourished, and has reduced my dry patchy spots on my cheeks. This serum feels great on my skin and absorbs quickly - allowing it to layer nicely with my other skincare and makeup products.I'm really happy with this Bio Retinoid Youth Serum from REN Clean Skincare brand and will continue to use it as part of my skincare routine and I'll be looking into more of their products.

I've been using this for about a month and it has been working really well with my skin. It hasn't erased all my wrinkles or anything, but it does help keep my skin moisturized throughout the day, which makes it look better overall. It's a very lightweight serum, pretty thin, and it goes on easily and absorbs quickly. It's more like a watery lotion than a serum, in how it feels. The pump is easy to use and puts out just the right amount -- I typically use about 1.5 pumps to cover my face and neck. I haven't had any irritation issues with this at all, so it's great for sensitive skin.
