I tried a test strand with schwarzkopf 30 volume developer, but the root didn't lift as light as I would've liked it. So I ended up just straight bleaching just my roots (about 1cm or .25 of an inch regrowth) instead of using foils because I had already bleached and weaved my hair without touching the root. I used cotton strips to keep the sections, but needless to say I still got that banding and hot roots. So I immeditatly mixed together some more bleach with 20 volume this time, instead of 30 (with the bleach) and added it to the mid shaft of my strands bc I saw the roots lifted extremely well and infact too much than usual. Then I also mixed up some more schwarzkopf bleach (same formula), but added and equal part of shampoo to apply to my ends so that everything would come out evenly or at least not majorly discolored in way of how fast different parts of your hair will lift and develop at different times. So needless to say, I still had orange/yellow banding on the mid shaft part of my strands and the roots ended up white (I'm naturally a level 5-6)!!! Then after rinsing and shampooing I added this perfect ash 12 high lift color and it saved the day!!! I toned my roots with the blue steel toner and mid shaft with this stuff and then combed through my ends for the last 5 mins. and I couldn't believe my eyes on how well it toned out all of the orange and yellow... like almost way too much so and ended up rinsing at the perfect time about 15 mins. in bc I could see a very purple-ish blue color going and it came out like a dream! I look like one of the targarians from house of dragons/game of thones lol! I have never had a toner or hair color cut AND lift out so much brass all at once. Looking back I think I could've just applied this alone to touch up my roots because technically the test strand didn't have the heat of my heat to help it process as fast. So I look forward to using this again and keeping this as a staple in my cabinet of hair colors and products.Color is true to color and more exceptionally works on pre-lighted hair or hair that is lifted to at least a level 9 or is naturally a level 9 or lighter.

I needed to get my hair done for an unexpected trip and my stylist wasn’t able to get me in time . So I ordered this hoping I wouldn’t make myself look worse than hair color already was (1inch roots lol) and to my surprise it turned out just as It would have if I had gone to my stylist. I got this just to help in a pinch and now may be doing it myself and saving some cash a few times a year.

I have been using this for years and love the color. I use a double 40 developer with it and lift about 4 levels.

Love this product, but when I ordered another color they didn’t even care to respond. They just cancelled my order

This made my hair silver, blue, green. What is this? I will not buy it again!
