IMS Precision Shower Screen compatible with 54mm Breville Sage Espresso machines Express, Barista Pro, Bambino, Bambino Plus BES450, BES500, BES880, BES810BSS, BES860XL, BES870XL

Don't know much about bottomless portafilters except that after having the Bambino Plus for a few months and tasting 'good' coffee I wanted to see what I could do to improve it. This fitted the machine perfectly and feels premium. The basket looks good, but I haven't used it as I went straight to a IMS H24 basket (fits this portafilter) and precision shower screen. All I can say is 'wow' no splashing or channelling at all from the offset and great tasting coffee (and finer grinding) for 18g in and 36ish g out after a bit of dialling in. Key ring is a nice touch, my now mocha loving daughter has 'claimed' it.

I purchased the IMS Precision 14-18b filter basket and the IMS Shower Screen at the same time months ago. They both looked great when I received them, however, I thought I had made the biggest mistake ever. There I was trying to slow my extraction times and by adding these two 'upgrades' I managed the opposite. Grr!! However, I was determined to understand what was going on. With the Sage Barista Express, I couldn't grind my preferred beans fine enough. Furthermore, my tamping (like my football team) was more miss than hit. Only once had I put those two elements right, have I been able to taste espresso with a greater clarity, despite not being an espresso drinker per se. To conclude, if like me you're a home / wannabe barista and you feel the need to upgrade, look for a decent grinder and make sure your tamping is on point.

The media could not be loaded. As you will see from my video, the IMS shower screen has a much more even distribution of water over the original which seems to favour the one side. Although I am no expert, the extraction seems more even when using my IMS basket. Absolutely recommend.

Now I know how much better this screen is than the standard one, I wish I’d swapped it immediately on purchasing my Bambino Plus two years ago.I was chasing my tail trying to stop channeling with my bottomless portafilter and IMS basket. Fitted this, made a huge improvement. No brainer.

I'm very disappointed with this product despite the sage duo temp being compatible with the the ims shower screen it just did not work it starts off fine on pre infusion but once the full pressure starts the water starts squirting all over the place I tried different tightness of the screw and nothing changed its really annoying unfortunately I can't recommend this item for a sage duo temp pro

After fitting the screen and no change to any other variable. Noticed a much better syrupy shot from my Bambino plus.Recommend.

The first couple of times I used this I found it produced a really good even rain effect.However, over a couple of months it has done nothing but get worse and worse with regular squirting of water out of one particular set of holes. The issue with this is that I am left with a really bad channelling issue as the pressure of water is forced into one side of the portafilter basket. Not impressed!
