Great shower valve
I installed this with the rough-in myself in our master bedroom bath. Really liked the stainless finish, quality build and temperature control. The simple yet elegant curves in a classic look has been a hit in our newly installed Sterling Vikrel modular shower replacement. Great fit, form and finish. The plastic temperature handle does not get me twisted up. It works, it looks fine and that's good enough for me. I was glad to be able to order the valve only because I had my own choice for a shower head. Yep good choice for us, glad Amazon offers the Delta product. Amazon is my go-to store.

Great trim, comes with a cartridge.
Great trim, no issues with delta stuff. Was pleasantly surprised to find that this came with a new Monitor 17 cartridge. Easy install, working as expected. Word of advice to use some plumbers grease on the bonnet nut treads of the rough. I had to replace a cartridge in another bathroom, it was a son of a gun to take off. Used a strap wrench to break it loose but was not easy.

You chose the amount of water pressure and the temperature separately.
The main reason i bought this particular model of handle is that the temp and pressure are separately regulated. I like to keep the pressure low, i use less water. Most shower and tub handles when you turn on the water its full pressure and just keep turing to make it warmer. My other factors in purchasing the Delta was the quality of the faucet felt much more durable and less likely to break due to plastic parts. We werent putting metal screws into plastic to hold the handle on, the Moen faucet we had previously installed kept going bad and ended up not shutting all the way off. We went through 2 handles and the valve insert stripped out every time. Another bonus with the Delta is that if you want to change to a single handle or a pull on all you have to do is switch out the cartridge. The Delta rough-in valve even has a little insert that stops the water at the valve so your not shutting off the water to the whole house. I am so much happier with this....no more leaking or trying to turn it just right so the water stops. I highly recommend Delta for the ease of the consumer.

Love it, but not perfect.
I bought this to put in a new shower I just finished building. I had originally put in a 13 series cartridge for the Delta Classic shower trim with a Delta Multichoice valve (the high flow HF shower only one). Now understand, we have massive pressure in our house. Most people would not complain, and we don't for any other application, but the excessive pressure in the shower was making a huge, deafening, and ear piercing, shrieking noise in the 2.5 GPM flow limited raincan shower head I installed, so I needed to cut pressure down somehow, and didn't want to remove the flow restrictor orifice from the head (I feel 2.5 GPM is enough and it's suppose to be a "rain-like" effect anyway). This worked perfectly, by utilizing the pressure and temperature separately I can turn the pressure on just to the point where the shower head gets its full flow and has very little noise at all, then adjust temperature accordingly. My only gripe, and it's minor, but a gripe nonetheless, is that the temperature handle is ill fitted, plastic, and doesn't have that nice Delta quality-smooth and solid feel as the pressure handle. It simply clips on the end with a press fit into an adapter in the cartridge. It's not loose, but you can tell it's a clipped on handle. Really I don't see why they couldn't design it out of metal, with a better connection to the adapter clip on the cartridge such as an allen locking nut or similar. Also, I don't see the reason why they couldn't use a full sized handle instead of the stubby one (a small complaint I know), with its rotation on the opposite side of the handle. My issues are minor, and Delta makes excellent quality stuff, and I'm sure it will hold up in the long run without a problem. The good thing about Delta stuff is you can always get replacement parts if need be. At this price point really it is a very good deal too, and the finish on it looks like a million bucks. The slightly pricier 17 series trims may have solved my issues (I'm not sure) but I didn't want to spend anymore and I'm happy with it.Edit: I literally just bought this for $64 with free shipping and the price just went up by $20.

Love the two separate controls for temperature and pressure.
Keeps the temperature constant even when other hot water is being used in the home. Plumber installed and did not seem to have any problems. I think the water saving flow restrictor is in place; flow is fine for me, but may be a problem for someone trying to rinse shampoo from a full head of hair.

Saved me so much money!
New plumbing in the bathroom left my shower water pressure so high, I felt like a peeled potato. The choices were to cut the plumbing yet again, and install valves so I could reduce the pressure, or buy this. No brainier. It's pretty amazing! Let's you set the temperature - and keep it set. The temp doesn't change with off and on switching. The on/off switching allows you to control the water pressure from a trickle to "peel a potato" pressure. It's saving me a ton of water, too. And yes, some of the parts are plastic, and it would be great if they weren't, but it's not flimsy it falling apart, so it's doing it's job!
