No good
Does not appear to work correctly. Sometimes N/S appears as E/W. I would hate to be lost in the woods with it. Not a compass expert, but I had no trouble reading my brother’s compass as a young child.

North keeps changing
With no metal around, the needle keeps swaying, can't make up it's mind :) I should do a video of it's happy dance.First I gave it 2 stars, but when I went out 20 minutes later, it settled down, guess it is very sensitive.. not a hiking compass for me but large display easy to see.. I will keep it.

Mine arrived broken, but I fixed it.
The needle had come off during shipping. I used a suction cup to get the plastic cover off. I put the needle back on, put the plastic cover back on. A bit of a pain in the ass but I knew it was cheap when I bought it.

Get a digital compass
This design is antique, the accuracy will be questionable subject to metal interference. I bought this for a telescope and the metal barrier is so week, the compass points all over the place where ever there is more metal concentration. Waste of money.

Came with needle off its post. Cover can't be removed to put it back on.
Came with the needle off its post, just sliding around loose in the case. I tried to remove the clear glass cover using a suction cup meant to remove smart phone glass screens. No luck, and I pulled hard. I then tried prying it off. It broke. I then tried putting the needle back on its post. It wouldn't go back on. Also, I had thought I could hang it from a lanyard. There is nothing to hang it from. If negative stars were possible, it would get them.

Priced to high for what you get
One arrived with no bubbles and one with bubbles. Both seem to point in the right direction. A $7 buttom compass should be bang on everytime.

Cheaply made
Super thin, light, and cheap feeling. It works, but I can't see this thing lasting long.
