Comfortable
They fit true to size, and seem durable. I haven't had a chance to put them through the ringer yet but have done lots of standing for hours in them and some walking. I have flat feet and they didn't hurt *too* bad after. Tread and grip seem to be pretty decent on uneven and loose terrain. The ankle support style they have going is odd, they grip your ankles pretty firmly. I'm assuming over time it kind of stretches or loosens, but for now it is a bit uncomfortable.Breathability seems ok. I'm in Arizona but got these just as the triple digit weather ended, but I haven't felt like my feet were swimming. However the goretex is obvious as my feet were noticeably warm.Tldr, grippy, kinda warm, ankle support is incredibly smug, objectively breathable, also kind of funny color combo

Hiking boots
A little big on fit. Not bad thought at all if you wear warm winter socks! The Gore Tex waterproofing and insulator, are as always, on point. No water leaks in snow or creek. Feet stayed warm, but not hot or sweaty. Perfect. They are by far the lightest hiking boots I’ve ever worn, and comfortable is an understatement! Definitely have recommended Solomon brand to family and friends. Great boots, and not as expensive as other “top shelf” winter hiking boots!

Very durable,comfortable, and well made
I've had these for over a month now. These are worn daily at work as an arborist. They still look new. I can't attest to tge waterproof aspect yet,but gore tex should be good. I'll probably get another pair to replace these as I like them alot. Great traction on hilly terrain. They also are sort of hard on the sides which helps protect from jagged rocks on branches while walking. They're also very light,so they don't weigh you down. I definitely recommend these.

Amazing boot with that perfect Salomon fit
So, earlier this year I purchased some Salomon shoes (Speedcross 5s) and wow, were they comfortable. So I decided to take a chance on their hiking boots for more serious hikes, and I ordered these in the same size that fit in the Speedcrosses. You never know how things are going to fit until you try them on, so it was a bit of a chance. These being serious hiking boots, I needed them to have extra room in the toe area to accommodate thicker socks--and that area of the boot was indeed larger in the same size. More importantly, I could actually put on some incredibly thick socks and the lacing system would let the boot expand to fit them perfectly. In a word--could not be happier with the fit.I also really feel the ankle support up and down the boot, and if you're the kind of stumbling klutz I am after 6 hours on the trail, this is greatly appreciated. Solid ankle support has saved me multiple times from tears and sprains that I could ill afford on long hikes.Durability--I can't tell yet. Will update in a year or so if I remember. So yes, 5 stars, and they look good too!

best backpacking boots
I'm 43. been backpacking through all kinds of climate. Just got back from Dolly Sods with 0 degree weather and -12 windchill. river crossings, snow, the works. this is the only time my feet have never hurt and stayed warm and dry. I sized up half a size for my paka socks and broke them in on the trail. GREAT boots. 10/10.get them. so comfortable and light too.

Quality, but painful
I saw it had good reviews and a long life. Thought I would try them. They were delivered swiftly and without incident. I tried them on and instantly new this wasn't going well. Left foot felt fine, but my right foot had pain. It felt like something hard was being pushed against my inner ankle. I've worn them for just under 10 hrs, and the pain gets worse. It's weird with only one foot getting the pain. I will say the act of walking in them was nice. They also have plenty of foot room. I did like a lot of the shoes, but because of how much my ankle hurts, I can't say I will keep trying to wear these. I'm giving it a 1 star review because shoes shouldn't hurt your feet no matter how well built they are. If it wasn't for the pain, this would be a five star review. Now I will have to wait longer to replace my shoes again. Definitely recommend trying before purchasing.

Most comfortable hiking boots on the planet
I bought these for pronghorn hunting because I wanted something lighter and cooler than my insulated/waterproof hunting/hiking boots. I am so impressed with them. The toe box is wide which I prefer in as many of my shoes as I can. It feels odd at first because we've all learned that a boot is supposed to be tight on your hole foot. After a trial hike I realized that my heal was held firmly and my toes weren't cramped. After 2 weekends of hunting various terrain including rocky prairie and climbing up and down steep canyons I didn't have any hot spots, or blisters and my feet didn't hurt at the end of the day. Top notch.

Stop what you're doing and buy these boots.
First impressions were that I could not believe how light these boots were. I have a pair of low top walking shoes that are comparable in weight. Despite how light they are all of the materials feel super tough.I've had them for a couple of weeks now and I often walk around 3 miles in them per day. I have to say that these are the easiest boots to break in that I've ever owned. First day, I walked 3 miles and was expecting blisters. Instead, my feet were fine. A little soreness around the area above my ankle but that's just from my legs not being used to a taller boot like this. Even then there was no raw spots, blisters, etc.The real test will be this winter as walking to work will test the gore-tex for sure. Normally I would have waited to review these but they've been such a pleasure to wear I wanted to go ahead and encourage everyone even remotely considering buying a pair to just do it.
