Great deal for the price. Steps where fairly easy to install. Had to go to the local hardware store to get a extra washer and nut. After figuring out one side the second one took about 10 minutes to install. Looks good. Serves the purpose. I weight about 190lbs and the whole truck moves, but the sidestep doesn't even flex. 2016 Ram 1500 Tradesman Express

These are perfect for the look as well as function for my truck. Great value for the money. Very sturdy and hold my 250lbs no problem. Installation was easy enough. Wouldve been easier with an extra set of hands but overall it wasn't hard

2022 Ram 1500 Classic Quad CabI am mechanically inclined, have tools and have installed side steps in the past.The Good: Nice, sturdy, good looking side steps. Great for the relatively inexpensive price. Would be an easy install--about 20 min a side--with big "IF's"The Bad: IF the front hole was actually the size they claim, would be a slam dunk easy project. Mine were smaller. I could cut the hole bigger, weld the bracket on, or, what I ended up doing-found a bolt with just the right size head to slide in. I figured the front extra brackets would help overall as well. It worked, and it's all solid. I may tack weld it down the road.Note: You may need an impact wrench to take off the body mount bolts. My Ram has less than 200 miles on it and I HAD to use it.

These side steps fit nicely on my 2016 Ram 1500 Quad Cab. I was able to install them myself in about 3 hours. The instructions are a little confusing because they give you information about different truck body years in the same document. After reading through a couple of times, I was able to figure out what directions actually applied to my truck. There are pictures in instructions that are very helpful. There was hardware for each of the various body styles.The trickiest step was part of the front bracket installation where I needed to "fish" the nut-plate from the large hole to the smaller hole. Then the bolt on the nut-plate had to be pulled through from inside the panel. The fish wire is included in the hardware kit. The fish wire has a spring end that threads on to the bolt on the nut-plate. Once I had the bolt in position, it was very difficult to remove the fish wire.The next hardest step was removing the body retention bolt. If you have an 18" or 24" breaker bar, you should be able to remove it without too much trouble. I have a 10" ratchet handle, and I had to get an extender to get enough leverage to move the bolt.I'm very happy with these side bar steps. My wife, who was tired of hoisting herself up into the truck, is going to be even happier with them.

Lay out all the pieces first check for all the hardware and bolts. You will need a bit of dexterity to pull the mount pieces through the frame . Take your time and it will be together before you know it . Instructions could have been less vague ,but once you are under the truck you will see how easy it is . Hardest part is threading the mounts through the frame and into the proper spot with the included threading wire. 2016 and up have pre-threaded holes so you will have some leftover pieces. Start to finish 2hrs. with a few coffee breaks.

Very sturdy. Worked well for my 2014 Ram 1500. I expected them to feel a little cheaper. But they were much sturdier than the larger ones I was replacing due to damage. Install was clear. But like many other reviewers, mine was missing some of the nuts and bolts. I just used the ones from the old side steps I was taking off since they were the same.

Instructions could be better along with model specific torque settings for reattached the body mounts after installation. Look great. Sturdy. Took about an hour and a half to install but some of that was deciphering tye instructions.

DO NOT BUY THIS FOR A 2022 1500 CLASSIC 'WARLOCK'. Go to the Dealership and buy it for the same price if not less with perfect installation and RAM insignias.
