I bought this to present heirloom pearls as a gift. It’s beautiful! It’s definitely more green, not black. The box is sturdy, well made, satiny on the outside, white velvet inside. I read reviews where they were talking about the button on the box, there is a little button but I think it’s just decorative not meant to do anything. If you turn the box sideways, the jewelry inside does get tossed around. There is a circle cut out where the necklace is meant to fit in, but it’s presentation only. If you lay it flat and present it as a gift, it makes a fantastic presentation. I took off one star since it doesn’t hold the necklace in place, but it is a great, beautiful place to keep and protect your valuable necklace.

I bought this box to gift a necklace for my son's girlfriend. I wasn't sure it would work, as a pearl necklace was used as an example. This box would beautifully display any 18" necklace. The leather is soft and the color is rich. The lining is lovely and set off the necklace perfectly. I wish I had thought to take a picture because it made the necklace look that much more beautiful.

This is beautiful. I bought it for my granddaughter to go with an add-a-pearl necklace. It's an impressive case, but not for traveling as it doesn't have a clasp.
