Terrible. Falling apart within months.
Edit - review updated six months in:I really hope these are fake knock-off because the alternative is that a great British brand seems to have gone sadly downhill. After just a month, a crack opened up in the ankle. I thought maybe I'd caught it on a sharp rock -my fault- so glued it and carried on. One month later a crack appeared along the toe seam. Also glued. Now cracks are appearing everywhere.I was so confident in the brand, I threw out the box and 'certificate' and they're also covered in so much glue, I don't think they would be accepted back.Really sad as they're still really comfortable. For reference, I walked the dog in them for about an hour each day for most of the winter, less so in summer. Mud, pebble beaches, salt water etc - but my husband's Muckboots have weathered fine.If you're tempted to buy these, make sure you keep all the info to return them._______________________I love Hunters, always have - they are, for me, the ultimate comfy walking boots where I can go for miles over various terrains without blisters. But I have pretty slim calves and it's still a real struggle to fit anything other than a wellie sock there. I need a heavy duty boot jack to get them off too.The tightness around the calves and ankles is what makes them so comfortable for walking imho so it's not something I would complain about, but I do warn you that unless you consider yourselve to have slim calves, heed the warnings of the other reviews and do not buy these. Instead go for the stretchy/bigger calf version.

They are a total waste of money
Do not buy these. They are a total waste of money. After less than 12 months of use they have split down the sides and leak really badly. Even worse than this, the rubber has degraded on the top so they leak here as well. There is no way the latter can be classed as general wear and tear. It is simply indicative of a poorly made product made with poor quality material. Rubbish.

Short life expectancy
I have always had hunter wellies as they were a reliable choice. I have had my current pair for a few years but they were consigned to the boot room and forgotten about for some years. I then got a dog and thought them far more suitable for muddy walks than walking boots. I tried them on and found them quite tight around the calf and could barely get them on with thick socks on. The insole is terribly lacking and offered no support, shock absorbency or comfort resulting in me buying additional insoles from an outdoor shop. In 6 months I have worn them regularly they have only been on hour long walks in not very challenging conditions and have already started leaking at the seams and a tear appeared in the calf wall. This is very disappointing as Hunter were a reliable brand and are now a mediocre product trading on their reputation and Royal Warrants. I have now moved to Aigle wellies.

Quality not amazing.
Really lovely pair of wellies. However they didn't last very long. I have had them for over a year now but they developed holes in them just after a few months of wear. Gutted because I expected them to last at least a couple of years and unfortunately I can't afford to buy a new pair just yet.

Best wellies you can get
Had these for a few years now and they are still going. On the walks wandering through the streams or digging up a muddy veggie patch, you can always rely on these babies. Also, can totally rock them in town on a rainy day after giving them a wash :DI would recommend to buy a size up from your normal shoe size, just so you can get in and out of the boots a bit easier and if you want to wear thick wellie socks with them.
