First, make sure you take measurements before ordering: this "30 inch" cooktop actually needs 30.3 inches of clearance (width) - about 30-5/16ths inches.Installation was a breeze, it works as it should, and the 16 power levels are very nice (most of other induction cooktops have only 7 to 9 power levels). Plus there is a "bonus" boost level P, which heats up pans and pots quicker than level 16. After 5 minutes, the boost reverts to 16.It's made in China, but German designed. K&H is a reputable brand with over 1000 great reviews on the German Amazon site. They've been in business around 20 years.I can't believe more Americans have not heard about this brand - for $330 we got something on par with a Fridgedaire or Samsung product that cost over $1000.The 5 burners is very nice, especially the flex-zone rectangular double burner.

We had to convert from a gas to electric cooktop as we are getting older and forgetful. We never had electric and always used gas’s so we were apprehensive about our purchase. We wanted a smooth top that was easy to clean and safe to operate. This top has 5 burners and allows us to select heat ranges from 0 to 9. I like that as I can quickly learn what number for what product like bacon or eggs etc. a couple elements have multiple selections for a small pot or a larger one. The units heat quickly and warn you if the unit has been turned off but is still hot. There is a nice locking feature that locks the top completely at whatever you have it set at. Just hold the lock button down for 3 seconds and the controls are locked and little fingers or cleaning cloths will not change the settings. The top is a little hard to clean over the heating elements. But is one nice flat surface that looks real nice in our kitchen. We’re very pleased with our new cooktop.

The only reason for the 4 star is that the burners are not big enough for your normal large pots and frying pans. If you use medium to small pots and pans this will work perfectly for you. But in terms of performance and quality I give 5 stars. The quality of this product is superb..

We have had this cooktop for over a year and it's been working great! Easy to install, intuitive controls, and works as well if not better than our old GE model, and at a third of the price. I don't write reviews very often, but this cooktop deserves a great review!

The media could not be loaded. Cooktop arrived defective. The middle burner appeared to only have power in the upper right "corner". All other burners work great. During shipping, the burner has "moved" to outside the circle. If we move the pan, you can see where the burner actually is (see photos). Otherwise it is an awesome cooktop. We cut our quartz countertop to fit this exact oversized cooktop, now I guess we just wait for a replacement to eventually arrive. Giant hole, no stove...so frustrating. I'll update this after the company responds.UPDATE#1...Replacement cooktop was also defective! All the burners work great, BUT the right hand burner controls are defective. They are missing some lights in the LEDs, making it display incorrect/partial #s. (SEE VIDEO). We're stuck with this specific top as it requires an oversized cutout which we made in our quartz countertop. Hopefully the 3rd top will be the charm.UPDATE#2...The 3rd top arrived in perfect condition, YAY! Been using it for a few weeks now with no issues. Works great! I increased the 1star rating to a 2star rating because of the return process, otherwise the top is a 4star. The company was fantastic in responding to issues & questions, but the return processes to get to my 3rd top was unnecessarily lengthy. Typical Amazon return will ship the replacement as soon as the return is scanned at UPS, not the case here. They required the top to be in their hands before sending out a replacement. Which makes no sense because once I dropped it at UPS, it was out of my control on how fast they received the top. I felt like I was being penalized for their 2 defective tops & if they were lost by UPS, it would've fallen back on me to fight for my money?UPDATE#3...4 months old & the front left flex-zone burner constantly blinks "H" all day after using it for breakfast. It's not hot, nothing sitting on it, but it continues to blink "H". Customer service response was prompt for a warranty repair, BUT I need to ship it back, wait for repair & wait for return shipping. That would mean I would be without any way to cook for over a week.PLEASE AVOID BUYING THIS PRODUCT...WE ARE NOW STUCK with a custom, oversize hole in our quartz top that can only be filled by this cooktop. We are on cooktop#3 from this company (1st 2 were defective) & it's only 4 months old it's already having issues.UPDATE#4...I had to purchase another one from this company because of it's unique oversized cutout. I was stuck. This is the 4th cooktop from this company! After the company said they would repair#3, but refused to send me a shipping label & then stopped responding to me since April (it's now October), after numerous messages to seller & chats with Amazon, I had to get Amazon to step in & make this right. Amazon leadership department was fantastic in making this right after going through this horrible experience! So far, cooktop#4 is working perfectly. DO NOT BUY THIS TOP FROM THIS SELLER...YOU WILL BE STUCK!

This is a medium size cooktop very well constructed, obviously high quality. Very sleek looking, looks great with my birch countertop. High gloss glass. Controls are quite simple once you use them a couple of times. The temperature can be set from 1 to 16 settings. I particularly like the large burner which has 3 different diameters to match the size of of the skillet or pot that you’re using. I would definitely purchase this brand again.

I replaced a Wolf glass top non-induction cooker that failed and a single replacement burner costs more than this new cooktop. That unit sold for about $3000 when it was purchased by the previous owner of my home. I paid $329 for this unit that works much better. It's an easy DIY installation but make shure you countertop cut out will accomodate this (they're all slightly differenct).
