These kind of coin batteries are the simplest of items in some ways. They come in standard sizes, voltages and fit well regardless of brand. The main variables don’t show up right away. These are how long they live before they die and do they leak and damage the electronics we depend upon?For the coin type batteries I usually pick a brand I trust and know over saving a few cents on a generic. The Energizer brand is that for me. These coin batteries tend to be used in items I use rarely and in situations where they rarely get changed so reliability and a dependable life matter to me.As a point of interest I wondered about the code numbers for the battery. I learned the first letter “C” is for the battery type which is lithium. The second letter “R” is the battery shape: round. The numbers are the size. This battery is a CR2450 and is 24mm in diameter and 5.0mm thick.Because this is a commodity product from a brand I trust and I got for much less on Amazon than I found locally I’m giving it 5 stars. That’s good value to me.

These are what my welding helmet uses, and Amazon was only place could get them, the last one lasted a long time, hope these do as well!

Its a battery

I'm not sure if this battery size is not commonly used but we couldn't find it at any of the stores we frequent. Procrastination is my thing so I waited until my garage door monitor completely died before getting serious about replacing the battery. I don't know why I didn't check Amazon first. The price was fair & the shipping was fast, and I can get notices about the garage door again.
