LEGO DUPLO My Town Birthday Party 10832, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten Large Building Block Toys for Toddlers

Adorable little Duplo set. I bought this for my 4 year old son for his birthday. He loves his Legos and this was a nice little supplement to his regular Lego blocks. He had no problem putting this set together and loved the little present bricks. There is a little fabric picnic blanket that I found a little weird. I'm pretty sure my son already lost it. I'm not sure why Lego is adding fabric pieces to its sets; this is the second or third set that my son has gotten that had fabric pieces in it. I suppose they are trying to save money? I don't know, but they are a waste.

This is a cute new series of Duplo Blocks. This series is called My Town and appears to be the Duplo version of Lego City theme series. They show buildings and places and people you would find in a town.In this set, Birthday Picnic, you receive 19 pieces. There are three characters, an animals and some fun specialized blocks. Particularly, there is a little girl with medium skin tone and brown pigtails, a boy with slightly darker skin tone (and an adorable attached stocking cap) and a rather hip Grandma (or Nana) with medium skin tone and long flowing hair. I love that the Nana is updated compared to the Nana's in previous Duplo sets. My husband tells me this Nana looks like me but with white hair.There is also a gray squirrel, a set of two balloons, a cake block (complete with candles), two gift blocks, a block with acorns printed on it, a pink flower block, a fabric picnic cloth and blocks to make a tree and to make a teeter-totter. Please note that the pink base in my pictures is not included and is something that I purchased separately from another brand.I purchased this lovely little set for my grandchildren to play with. I intend to buy more of the series so they can put an entire town together. My granddaughter loves the people characters and the balloon but she is a tad young for the set at about one year old. My three year old grandson loves everything about the set. He especially like the little boy with the cap.One thing to note, the picture on the box shows the teeter-totter in an unrealistic situation. Because of the weight of the balloons, the “child” holding it will always be in the downward position. You will have to physically push the teeter-totter from side to side and hold it to achieve this up position. It works much better without the balloons so when we play, the Nana gets to hold them.Also, the picnic cloth was in a plastic bag that was stuck to the inside of the box and I almost threw it away by accident. Be sure to look for it. I missed it for my pictures but in the end even once I found it, I had to put it away as my granddaughter tried to eat it immediately.

My son has this game on his iPAD and loves it. These legos are a pretty good replication of the game.What we didn't like is how the cake doesn't fit thru the kitchen stove (if you collect the larger "home" version too). My son was pretty disappointed that it didn't fit. Otherwise a lot of creative lego fun

I love that this set introduces new pieces. The thing i wasn't fond of in the other duplo sets, were that it came with the same characters through different sets giving us duplicates. This one has three new characters (finally a black child!) that we didn't have, not counting the grey squirrel. It also comes with three new pieces I haven't seen yet; the cake, the balloons, and the picnic blanket. This was an excellent buy at $12. I wish there were more little sets like this in this price range. My 2 year old loves them.

Bought for my son's 3rd birthday, and of course he loves them! They are exactly what I expected and were the perfect start to upgrading him from mega blocks to something that he would really be able to start building with!

I purchased this Duplo set for one of my friend's son for his birthday. He loved his Legos and immediately he began to play with them! I am pretty pleasant because it made him a great night.

I purchased this for my great-granddaughter, who turned 2 on her birthday. She absolutely loved it. She played with it for hours and when she woke up the next day, went straight to it and played some more. I would highly recommend this toy.

The 2 year olds that play with this set Love it! Especially the Balloons. Same with my 3 year old niece who played with it and added that set with others.
