Q: How do you attach these to the cover itself?

They attach to the frame of the spa by screws on a plastic clip in device. The straps just go over the cover. They are not attached to the cover its self. I live in a windy area of the desert. These were perfect for holding the top down during heavy wind storms.

Q: Are these 1" or 2" wide?

These spa cover straps or hot tub straps are 1 inch (25mm) wide. Properly installed and maintained, a pair is sufficient to withstand over 100+ mph winds or gusts. We have mocked up 1.5 inch (35mm) and 2 inch (50mm) wide straps but the weak link is just as often the thickness or material of the sides of the spa or tub enclosure, so wider wasn't better, just more expensive.

Q: What size screws are these? I was shorted 4 screws, i have to buy because the seller will not respond

Hello, We have responded twice, once to apologize, once to send the tracking number of the missing screws + a couple replacement buckles for future use. We supply a #4 x 1 inch stainless steel wood screw. But they're on the way. Thank you!
