Heavy duty, very sturdy, well made
This is a very well made, heavy duty cane. It would be good for someone who either actually needs a really strong cane or (like me) just wants one that’s overbuilt. It is a bit on the heavy side weighing about 3 lbs, so if carrying around the extra weight is an issue, I would suggest getting a lighter one. But if you’re looking for something solid and sturdy, this is a good one to get.The rubber grip is excellent, way better and more durable than the foam grip that is on a lot of cheaper canes. The rubber at the bottom is also nice, although the cane does not stand up on its own (this is important to some people).

Rugged Cane
Had invasive foot surgery in December and a few weeks ago have gone from no weight bearing to now therapy. In the process of transitioning from the knee scooter to the crutches or variation involving a walker or cane. Therapist is insistent on the cane which I agree for mobility and weight distribution. Scary however as I bought a cane from CVS Pharmacy which like most is aluminum - rated for 300 lbs. however. I sport a 295 weight and not terribly comfortable with the CVS cane with the small rubber tip.Read the reviews over and over and opted for this cane. Folks complain it's heavy and it is, but if it's rated for 600 lbs. - duh. Cane is made of steel similiar to bicycle tubing and unless your dancing with it - it's not overbearing nor heavy. I find it balanced when walking PLUS the rubber tip is the size of a crutch tip. Definitely feel secure and more sure of myself with this. Does it rattle - a little but no game changer as it's tubuler metal that slides into a tube and of course it will rattle a bit. Handle is rugged rubber.I paid a bit more for the aluminum pharmacy brand only to find this for slightly less and a heck of alot more sturdy!

Great heavy duty cane!
hello at first when i received the vive cane i thought it might be to heavy. but as i use it i like the added weight because once you put it down the weight helps hold it there until you move again. i like the handle it is big enough to hold comfortably. i dont get cramps in my hand like the thinner canes. i can say this cane is the most sturdiest cane i ever had. i do like it. its about 2lbs. i had bought some other canes before that didnt hold up. like the dynamo swing cane.i was walking with it in the hospital when the clip that dynamo uses on their cane for adjustment broke. causing me to almost fall to the concrete floor. i did like the wide ergonomic handhold on the cane. but it has a weakness the plastic clip with a metal pin to me is a engineering flaw. and the thing is when this clip breaks dynamo wants to charge you over 4.00 for it. it should be free. i have emailed dynamo 4 times and they have not replaced this clip when they are about 54.00 now the dynamo swing cane. wont buy it again but this vive cane i am liking the weight of it very much. makes me feel more secure and stable when i walk thanks vive

This is a Great cane. It offers great support.
This this is a great cane and it offer's great support. It is the best cane I've found so far. It is a bit heavy but I wanted heavier cane. because I have a neurological disorder that affects my balance and walking ability. However,It might be too heavy for some.I gave it five stars even thoughI have one concern. It advertised that it has two locking clips. It only has one locking clip.I suggest that the advertisingbe corrected to reflect this.It is a great cane andI probably will use it for a very long time. Thank you 🙂.

Strong cane but a little disappointed
Pros:1) The first thing I noticed was the weight. It is made of steel instead of aluminum so the heavier weight was expected and gave the feeling of durability and strength.2) The cane is comfortable to hold. I like the hard rubber handle material.3) The cane is stable and supports my weight without feeling like it will bend.Cons:There were a few advertising discrepancies that disappointed me.1) The wrist strap was not a nylon strap at the end of the handle like in the picture. Instead, it was an elastic strap that was looped around the pipe in front of the handle. Because of the heaviness of the cane, if you let go of the cane and let it hang by the wrist strap, the strap stretched so long that the cane dangled diagonally with the foot of the cane still on the floor. The strap would also slide further down the cane. This made it hard to pick the cane back up because if you put your hand down, the cane went down closer to the ground, if you pulled your hand up, the strap stretches longer and the cane is harder to reach.2) The picture made it look like there are two button locks but there is only one. I assume two will make it support 600 pounds better than one.3) There is still a clicking noise when the cane hits the ground on each step. So the tightening lock doesn't silence the clicking or rattling very well no matter how tight you make it.4) The description says that the rubber tip is 3/4". So I bought a 3/4" quad tip from Vive. It's too small. When I measured the bottom pipe, it's 7/8".After analyzing the cane, I think that it is too heavy to be on a quad tip and stand by itself. The cane is top heavy and because it is almost 2 or 3 times the weight of an aluminum cane, it will probably fall over. So I wouldn't buy a quad tip for this cane. Also, because of this top heaviness, it takes effort to lean it against something so it won't tip over unattended.Although the cane is strong enough to support me, the advertising discrepancies are just too much for me to have to accept and compromise my expectations of what I was buying. So the cane still works well. I just can't recommend it if you are expecting what is advertised and pictured.
