I bought these for my mother when she was in a nursing home for rehab after a fall and said she couldn’t see to read. They come nicely boxed, and are sturdy and well-made, and they magnify as they are supposed to. The handle is ergonomic, but I can imagine if you are using this for reading it would be difficult to use, trying to turn pages and hold a big magnifying glass up simultaneously seems rather ridiculous for more than a short time or viewing very small print. That would be what reading glasses are for. Still, there are many times that a magnifying glass is useful for those who have aging vision AND good reading glasses, as sometimes one needs things magnified at a greater level than readers provide. For those times, these are great. If they are different, I wasn’t paying close attention-I think they are the same, just different colors. I gave one to my aunt.

Bought to use with my toddler. He loves it, but mostly uses it as a "banging stick" on trees. It hasn't broken yet, so that's a win.

For this price you get a 3" Glass lens in a soft plastic protective handle. If you want to complain it's not 10x or 5x go shopping for one or shut up.

My main concern is that the lens is wobbly in its case (just picking it up, you can feel it's loose, not firmly attached.) Otherwise, these work fine for most magnifying needs, the plastic handle is comfortable to use.Due to the lens wobble, I have some doubt about how long these will be usable, but time will tell.No idea what the packaging claim of "environmental protection" means.
