Good seal and easy to write on

I bought flour in bulk, so these have been great for storing it all in smaller packages. It seems pretty durable. Some of the comments made me worry that the bags were gonna rip while I'm packing them, but I had no problem. I started with adding 5lb of flour to each, and it held up great. But then I switched to 4lb, just so it's easier to seal. I would definitely buy these again.

I want to stay making my own jerky and potentially turn my love for jerky into a way to make my own little gifts for Christmas!! Now I can store my creations safely and give a healthy sized portion to my family!

The bags seem to be of a good enough quality. The oxygen absorbers were all packaged in one vacuum sealed bag. There was no indicator on the bag to let you know whether the absorbers were still good. I was not educated enough to understand that, the minute you open the vacuum sealed pouch, the oxygen absorbers will activate. That was my fault. You need to know that you have to have all of your mylar bags filled, ready to have the oxygen absorbers placed in them, and ready to be sealed. However, in doing more research, these oxygen absorbers are not of a sufficient size to handle a 1 gallon bag.

These mylar bags are great and I can cut them to whatever size I need (instead of buying the more expensive variety pack). I use my hair straightener to seal the bags and presto! They can also be resealed when opened. It's kind of magic.

I've ordered several brands of mylar and these are my favorite.They are a bit thinner than some, but they seal really well, much easier sealing than some of the super thick ones I've tried but with adequate thickness to be durable for average food storage.Size is nice, roomy full gallon size bag The oxygen absorbers we're very high quality, you could tell they were working. Perfect for long term storage of rice, oats, etc and I like that these are available on subscription so I always have some on hand.
