I already have a HVLP spray system and a HVLP compressor run spray gun and have been using them successfully for several years.I was looking for something for smaller jobs with it's own reservoir instead of having to dip a pipe into a pot of paint with less overspray that the Compressor run spray gun.I opted for the PFS 7000 which I thought was a top of the range Bosch Sprayer with less overspray. The instructions are very basic and drone on about safety with very little practical info on the actual set up.I used a high quality gloss recommended for spraying and diluted it as per the manufacturers instructions. To actually get a decent flow of paint I had to set the pressure way too high. It was like trying to paint with a leaf blower. There is also no adjustment at the tip apart from the type of fan you can use. It's like Bosch have tried to combine a conventional sprayer with HVLP and come up with Frankenstein's monsterThe finish was appalling. The paint either spluttered out or deluged the surface. In order to get the correct mist I had to water the paint down so much it barley covered the surface and even then the high gloss dried to a satinwood finish.I ended up having to brush over the whole job to try and save the project. The overspray was ridiculous.I'm not new to spraying and have sprayed everything from vintage cars to kitchen cupboards, obtaining a factory finish, unfortunately I don't think that is possible from this overpriced fence sprayer.Save your money and buy a brush, you'll get a much better finish.
