We took my 4-year old to get her ears pierced at a local Tattoo and Piercing Parlor and after the surgical steel earrings they used healed, we were looking for something a bit more comfortable. The screw on back is VERY secure and the fact that it's flat makes these earrings a dream to sleep in... at least for me because she isn't waking up getting poked by her earring anymore haha
