I ordered these to store food for long term. The bags are exactly as described, strong and comes labels. I ordered oxygen absorbers separately as there are different size absorb for different bag. Already have food, snacks, cereal, trail mix etc stored away. After filling each bag, I used my Chi-iron to seal the top completely as per the videos I seen.

The thickness is good for 20 year preserving. Not as thick as some but definitely good quality.

These are great bags- they are thick and seal up tight. I don't have a heat sealer and just zipped it closed and it keeps everything fresh. Holds about an ounce of dry goods- Also no scent detection which is great for certain pungent herbs. I would buy these again without hesitation.

Got these for backpacking to try odor-proof food in bear country. Seems stout enough, but smaller and heavier than expected. Outer dimensions are 9" x 13.5" ; usable inner dimensions 8" x 12". Not sure what I was expecting but the whole shipment weighs 2.7 lbs. Each bag weighs .85 oz. Made of PET/AL/PE. Because of PE, I'll wouldn't use with boiling water.

The bags appear to be will made. I have discovered no leakage in any of the bags and no light gets through. I really like the gusseted base as it makes it easy to fill standing and if the food is rehydrated in the field the base allows for it to be stood up while pouring water in and waiting for the rehydration to complete. Would recommend this product. I have purchased many of these bags and am very satisfied. **update** Just purchased again and is becoming my go to bag and size for large single meals and freeze dried ingredient foods. **update** Just received my 5th purchase of 100 of these bags today 3/18/25 and the product quality has been the same each time. Changed my rating now to 5 stars. Still my go to mylar bags for freeze drying

Great bags

So I've bought these bags a couple of times - new to freeze drying everything seemed okay at first. Then I noticed that my other, larger, mylar bags seen to 'suck in' a LOT MORE than these bags AND STAY SUCKED IN. I wrote it off as bad Oxygen Absorbers - I bought the LDS ones (Don't recommend). But now, after 100's of bags using 500cc OxAbs from a GOOD company, these bags still don't seem to want to hold a vacuum. I'm going to try buying another company's 6X9 bags. I'm now testing these bags in various ways - perhaps I will seal a 1/2 pint of water in one of them and see if it leaks?? Sounds fun huh? No way are these 8.6 mil so I got a micrometer and found that each side is 4.3 mil. I guess they add the 2 sides together to get 8.6 mil.New info: For even more fun, I thought I'd check out the gusset, and yes I found several pinholes there after I expanded the gusset. So I have found 2 weak points for these bags. I've attached some pictures of a leak I found at the edge of the ziplock as well.
