Red dye that's safe
I really like the red in this product. I'm presently using to color the red beaks of birds on my melt and pour soaps. Lovely color and safe for all to use.

More of a hot pink
Full disclosure: I don’t know what color a poppy truly is. That’s not why I bought this petal dust.I was looking for a deep red, which is how this petal dust appears on my screen. Colors can look different on a phone/computer screen than what they truly are, I get that, but this petal dust can’t really even be considered red. It’s definitely more of a hot pink, which I can’t use, and wouldn’t have purchased if it had been labeled as such. Please see the attached picture to see how it compares to various red (some a deeper red than others) items. If poppies are more of a hot pink, you know that going in, and that’s what you want, then definitely go ahead and purchase this. But if you’re looking for more of a deep red as is displayed (at least on my screen) in the picture, you definitely should skip this one.

Not Red!
I'm not sure what poppy red is suppose to look like, but this is HOT PINK. The picture is deceiving.
