Star brite Instant Black Streak Remover

Star Brite seems to market this product to boat or RV owners but I bought it to clean my 3 year old white painted aluminum gutters on my house which were covered in aluminum oxidation "tiger stripes". Prior to using Star Brite black streak remover I used a lot of chemicals and products supposedly just for cleaning gutters but none were even remotely effective. Then I tried the black streak remover. Holy cow! This stuff works like nothing I've ever seen. It works and it works fast! My gutters are streak free and look brand-new. My wife could hardly believe how nice they looked. Just spray on - wait 30 seconds and then wipe off - that's it! It even removed the black streaks from my painted wood trim but since the Hardie board trim is a bit porous it took two passes, but hey, it worked! I recommend rinsing if off thoroughly where you don't want it (painted surfaces and foundation plants) but if you're careful everything will be fine. I used it without gloves for a whole day and didn't have any lingering effects or issues. I recommend this product without reservation!

This does what it's advertised to do. It wasn't aggressive enough diluted (1:1), so I ended up using it full strength. I applied it very generously with a soft carwash brush and used only moderate effort scrubbing. It took a bit of time and a couple of passes with a soppy brush, but *most* of the black streaks came off. But so did a fair amount of paint.My cargo trailer is 17 years old and had been neglected for several years but still had a bit of that glossy white to it. The gloss is mostly gone now, with only patchy spots of it left. Pics show, especially up high towards the rear of the trailer, what's left of the of the black streaks. Applying more product would have perhaps removed it, but it would have taken all the paint with it. The pics show how badly the paint thinned out and now the underlying aluminum is starting to show through.

This product really does work! Unlike some infomercials, this product does exactly what it says it will do. Our white gutters had black streaks and spots, making the house look unattractive. We figured we'd try Star Brite....and to our surprise, our gutters were white again. We poured the liquid into a sprayer.....sprayed the gutters, waited a few minutes, used a broom to gently rub the gutters....then hosed the liquid off......pleasantly surprised. The product is fairly priced compared to others we tried that did not work. Easy to pour, easy to use, no harsh odors, no stains, easy clean up.....we will be purchasing it again soon!
