Fab knife set
Love these- I got the set of 3 on prime day for quite a reasonable price for such good knives. I'm very happy with them. They are very pretty, heavy to hold and I don't feel like they are going to break like my last knife set did. Well worth the investment.

Ok but best when on offer
I received these by accident for another set I ordered but they seemed like they were worth the reduced price of £42 but not anything more. The "damascus" pattern is printed on and not hammered in. These seem like an average set of knives that are good if you need the extras like a finger shield. I wouldn't recommend paying full price for these.

Extremely sharp out of the box. Santoku means "Three Virtues".
These arrived simply packaged in a retail cardboard box and inside each knife has the tip capped with a plastic cover for safety purposes. You get three knives in the set: Chef Knife, Santoku Knife and Paring Knife. The Santoku knife is classed as a general-purpose knife and can be used for meat, fish, vegetables and can slice, chop and dice, making a very handy knife to have around. Santoku means “Three Virtues”.Both the handles and blades are quite ornate on these knives. The pattern on the handles is described a being “hammered” and I found the grip the be very good on them. I not sure how you would describe the pattering on the blade, it looks a bit like oil in water if that make sense.I already have a set of professional knives from a very well-known brand, another set from a well-known household brand and two other Japanese knives but these are the first Damascus Japanese style ones I have had. I am not a professional by the way.I have to say that, out of the box, they are the sharpest I have come across. Cutting things like onions, peppers, etc was like a sharp knife though warm butter. I really was surprised. The weight and balance was excellent. Now, this was out of the box, and it will be interesting to see how well they last before they need sharpening and then how well the blades come back. Particularly as that is something I would do at home myself.I do appreciate the fact that you can pay substantially more, I am talking £100s, for just one knife than this whole set costs but I do think these knives are very good value. They are not “professional” but great for home use. They are dishwasher safe but personally I like hand wash then and dry immediately. They do come with a lifetime warranty but that is with the manufacturer. However, they do have their own website and have been going since 1992. They are based in China, so unsure how you would go about claiming under the warranty.Overall, I do really like these knives and am impressed with the design and how sharp they are. Hopefully they will sharpen up just as good.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.NB. For a sizing guide, squares in photos are 1cm.

Heavy duty
I love these it's the second set ibe got just incase one gets lost or damaged I love them that much. They are easy to use yet sharp. Only thing is they become very dull very quickly and I don't know what to polish them with. I would recommend to everyone.

Lovely
These are lovey knifes. Genuine folded not like some that are just etched. Look and feel great. Hold there edge very well. I do use a Japanese stone so sharpen them as they are very hard steel. They are so sharp.
