The first thing you should know about this product is that it goes on clear, doesn't mist in the air and turn your shop into a greasy frying pan and stink up the place. It's simply a joy to work with. I pulled off all the splash shields and fender liners on my Subaru and coated absolutely everywhere, all the holes, body plugs, frame rails, control arms, above the subframes and gas tank. The best part is that it doesn't drip all over your face or driveway. It also creeps deep into the metal and pinch welds. We'll see how long it actually holds up, but I am confident it will be nothing short of amazing given how much time and attention to detail I took to coat the entire car. The Canadian Military has a study and compared several corrosion prevention products and found this to be superior by a large margin in all categories tested compared to other commonly found products.

This, being a Canadian product, really flies below the radar here in the US. Haven’t seen it mentioned in most automotive forums or comparison tests. Which is a shame because it was exactly what I was looking for. These are my reasons:1) Oil based. Durable, yet simple to clean off if needed. It also stays flowable and self heals. Cheaper and better looking than wax coatings and much better protection than your typical rubberized coating that actually traps moisture and destroys your vehicle.2) Clear, and no smell. Fluid Film has worked well for me in the past on other vehicles. But it’s yellow and ugly, and it stinks for days. I just can’t use it anymore. This product literally only smells when it burns off the exhaust, no big deal.3) No drips. Being a gel, it more or less stays where you put it. Since I have a nice new driveway, I didn’t want the mess.This is one of the few products that offers protection AND arguably improves the appearance of the parts. Any dirt easily hoses off while the coating stays behind and stays shiny. It’s not a one and done product, I’ll re-apply yearly. But it’s inexpensive and fairly easy to do. I bought a $40 undercoat sprayer and applied it at 90 PSI using my small 6 gal compressor on my back in the driveway. You don’t need anything fancy!!!It sprays pretty good and even, especially if you apply it warm. On more visible portions like wheel wells, I wiped the excess off and it looks really nice. I expect I will need re-apply there but it’s only August and I wanted it to look decent until the snow flies.All told, I used over a half a jug on my Ram. I already did my rockers and internal frame with 3M Cavity Wax Plus so I didn’t use Corrosion Free on any internal parts. Fact of the matter is, I didn’t know this product existed last year when I did the internal sections or I would have just used it for everything.One last thing…I recommend wearing a mask and goggles. I also recommend having some brake parts cleaner on hand to remove excess from brake discs, exhaust, and plastic wheel wells.
