Thriving With ADHD Workbook: Guide to Stop Losing Focus, Impulse Control and Disorganization Through a Mind Process for a New Life

More like a top level leaflet than a workbook
The book describes the very basics of what ADHD is about but it doesn’t actually provide any useful guidance for someone with ADHD (or their family members). It is one of those resources that tell you that you need to ‘keep your to do list short’ or ‘make decisions within a time frame’ but doesn’t explain how, taking into consideration the way the ADHD brain works and the struggles someone has, having been diagnosed at a later age.Book provides some basic info for someone entirely new to this but definitely isn’t used as a workbook so the title is misleading.(review written by someone with an official diagnosis)

Not really a workbook
I bought this book because I was looking for a book to interactively write in and progress with managing ADHD. This book is not that type of book. It was informative, though I did find some information was also outdated and follows the DSM IV, as opposed to the more current DSM V. I would recommend this book for those learning about ADHD for the first time. If you've known about ADHD for while, you probably won't learn much from this book.

Full of inaccurate information. A truly awful book that could do more harm than good.
If you have ADHD please DO NOT buy this book. It is badly written and contains some completely inaccurate information. The first being that ADD is not the same as ADHD. Yes, it is! ADHD is now the name used to cover all presentations of ADHD, whether that is ADHD (predominantly) Inattentive, ADHD (predominantly) Hyperactive or ADHD Combined type. He says "They cannot spell properly or read a passage" when describing people with ADHD. Yes, some people with ADHD will have difficulty with spelling and reading, mainly because dyslexia quite often occurs alongside ADHD, but there are also a lot of people who are dyslexic who don't have ADHD and there are many people with ADHD who have no problems with spelling and reading passages! He claims that more men than women have ADHD. This has been found not to be the case at all. Yes, more boys are diagnosed than girls - one reason for this being because girls are two times more likely to have inattentive rather than hyperactive presentations of ADHD (there are other reasons). However by adulthood ADHD is seen in equal numbers in men and women. I could go on - there are so many problems and inaccuracies with the book. I just strongly urge people NOT TO BUY IT. I also see no information about the author and what qualifies him to be writing this workbook, which is highly unusual for a book of this type.

Somewhat outdated - lacks deep actionable items
The information is somewhat outdated. If you are looking for a high level overview of what ADHD is, common behavioral hurdles and how to possibly get started on treatment, this might be helpful. If you are well into your ADHD journey this falls flat as “workbook”.Side note: The many spelling and grammatical errors completely eroded my trust in the content.
