Fjallraven Men's Yupik Parka

Really pleased with this coat - it is warm and waterproof - ideal for standing around watching sport on cold wet winter evenings, (which is what it was purchased for). The hood and its faux fur lining really protects the face from wind and the fit is snug enough that it removes the need for a scarf. Thoroughly recommend it for anyone considering this against other similar products.

Per chi non la conoscesse è il nome di una azienda fondata in Svezia negli anni 60 con lo scopo di produrre abbigliamento per l'outdoor e la vita all'aria aperta ma che fosse al contempo pratico di qualità e duraturo. Il parka oggetto di questa recensione, lo Yupik, non fa eccezione. Il prodotto fa parte della linea di parka "polari", di quelli che andrebbero benissimo da indossare mentre si è trainati da una slitta coi cani nelle foreste scandinave. Il prodotto è fatto benissimo, la cura nei nettagli è alta, le cerniere sono tutte marchiate YKK (famoso costruttore di zip) con quella principale anche apribile da sotto per dare mobilità alle gambe, le cuciture sono precise e la pelliccia morbidissima, pur essendo un prodotto "made in china", come ormai quasi tutto, dall'elettronica all'abbigliamento. L'interno del collo e del cappuccio sono rivestiti in pile, così come le due tasche scaldamani situate frontalmente in basso "nascoste" dietro i due tasconi laterali. A proposito di tasche, ce ne saranno una decina nel giubbotto, non scherzo! Sopra, sotto, sulla manica, due tasconi interni in basso, altre due interne con la cerniera per tenerci il cellulare o un lettore mp3 con tanto di passacavi, il tutto per unire la praticità della vita moderna senza rinunciare al caldo e portare con se le chiavi, il cellulare, il fischietto per i cani e forse pure la piccozza da ghiaccio!Piccola chicca è la bandiera svedese presente esternamente di fianco la tasca anteriore sinistra...una cosa molto in stile Volvo.Purtroppo, e qui veniamo alla nota negativa, il giubbotto è grande. Troppo per il mio caso. Venendo da una XXL in passato (ma avendo perso peso con lo sport) mi trovo in quella fase in cui sono costretto a rifarmi un'idea delle mie nuove taglie, dai pantaloni, alle maglie fino appunto ai giubbotti. Credevo che una taglia in meno sarebbe andata bene, scegliendo la XL, ma risulta troppo grande. Le maniche (regolabili con uno strappo a velcro) vanno a coprire interamente le mani, così come il cappuccio (anch'esso regolabile con strappo a velcro) copre interamente la testa. Per questo motivo mi dovrò orientare su una taglia più piccola, la L probabilmente, ed ho dovuto quindi restituire il giubbotto. A parte questo, lo consiglierei assolutamente. Se avete necessità di un capo fatto benissimo e per durare allora acquistatelo senza remore, non vi deluderà...ah ovviamente usatelo solo in climi molto freddi, altrimenti suderete sicuramente perchè è davvero pesante addosso.Servizio amazon di spedizione e reso perfetti come sempre.

Hallo, ich bin 1,70 groß und 83kg schwer. Habe diese Jacke Bestellt da ich eine robustere und wärmere Jacke wollte. Da mir diese H&M/C&A Dinger aufn Zeiger gingen! Da ich die Jacke im Globe. schon anprobieren konnte, wusste ich welche Größe ich brauche. Wer um die 1,70 rum ist und normal bis schmal gebaut ist, kann auf jeden Fall S bestellen. Wer breiter oder trainierter ist wie ich, sollte dann doch eher zu M greifen, auch wenn die ärmel etwas länger sind.Sonst hatte ich die Jacke schon beim 3 Stündigen Spaziergang, bei -3 grad, an mit nur einem T shirt drunter! Absolut kein Problem. Die Jacke liegt am Hals sehr gut an, die Mütze mit dem Fell dran kann als Ohrwärmer benutzt werden, wenn man die Mütze weiter nach vorne zieht, bei windigen tagen echt gut. Ein weiter Vorteil an dieser Jacke, sind die zahlreichen Taschen die sie hat, da sie insgesamt 16 Taschen hat!! Der Oberstoff ist robust und gut verarbeitet, wie sich die Jacke bei Regen schlägt, kann ich leider nicht sagen, da ich bisher noch nicht in Regen musste mit der Jacke. Das einzige was mich ein bißchen stört, ist der Reißverschluss. Da dieser nen kleines gefriemel ist beim zumachen, weil die Jacke in dem Bereich etwas steifer ist. Also kein wirklicher Nachteil, eher Geschmacksache :)Vorteile: Robust, wirklich warm, viele Taschen.Nachteil: Der Preis, Reißverschluss erfordert etwas Geschick beim zumachen.Fazit: Sehr gute Jacke, die ihr Geld wert ist! Ich bin absolut begeistert von der Jacke und bereue den Kauf kein bißchen!! Der Preis ist hart, vor allem da diese Jacke in manchen Läden 480€ kosten! Denn noch, wer das Geld erübrigen kann macht hier nichts Falsch! Wer diese Jacke pflegt und sorgsam behandelt, hat viele Jahre was von dieser Jacke!

This Fjallraven parka is a very robust & warm coat, in 7c degrees this monster kept me warm whilst wearing just a non thermal vest and a British army ubac shirt underneath and nothing else and i was comfortably warm! I would imagine anything above 10c it would for me personally be too warm. There is no need for lots of layers because this parka is the equivalent of wearing a synthetic puffer jacket and a waterproof shell coat and then some.. more pockets than you could actually ever utilise and a voluminous hood which is adjustable and removable. The coat feels heavy when holding it up on a coat hanger but once on the weight is distributed very well and it’s amazingly comfortable and doesn’t feel heavy. Of course I didn’t pay £480 for it… I was lucky to find it on a warehouse deal for substantially less.. worth every penny though. Highly recommended kit! NB* Having worn and tested this parka now for a few weeks during an English winter… it’s not quite as warm as i originally thought, I’m still needing to wear two or three layers under this but then in my 50’s now i probably feel the cold more.. during the really cold spell in December when daytime temperatures were -5c I found wearing my 700 fill marmot down and a British army windproof smock warmer than the synthetic filled Fjallraven. Personally I think in really extreme cold you need feathers..that’s not to do this parka a disservice it’s still a fantastic bit of kit!
