Test Results..
I bought this product to use with Blueberry and Raspberry bushes that were on the property of a home we purchased. I have no idea if it is any better than anything else on the market but the formula seemed like it might help the grossly neglected bushes. I applied the product in early March just as they were starting to leaf out and will give them another treatment when they bloom and a third treatment in late fall. If they respond to the formula I will update my evaluation here.Update: There was enough product in 1 bag to do 1 application for 15 Blueberry plants and a 15 X 5ft strip of Raspberry's. I applied the product in March and another in mid June along with a little Aluminum Sulfate to PH the soil. Last Summer I got about one big bowl of Blueberries. This year I already have 4 times that much and still going. Same results with the Raspberries. I am impressed with the improvement after just 2 applications. This really jump started both the Raspberries and Blueberries. Both types of plants look healthier and have larger berries. I upgraded my score to 5 stars and will be using this product again next year. For the late Fall application I will use what ever garden fertilizer that is left over to sustain them over the Winter. I don't think you can go wrong with the Dr.Earth for your Blueberries and Raspberries.

Like a plant pizza party!
I bought my hydrangea from the "left for dead" clearance section. I brought it home and brought it back to life. I fed it the Dr. Earth food and WOW! An explosion of new buds.... after only 1 use! I could see the difference after 1 use. This is great stuff! Now I use it at least 1=once per month. I live in No. CA so it can get hot & dry but I did find a shady party in my yard and it's really doing well!

If you like your plants dug up by squirrels and skunks this product is for you!
The product does work. It did refresh a sad looking rhododendron so I have no doubt about how good it is. But it smells like food to squirrels, skunks, and I think racoons. And all 3 love to dig. If you are going to use this stuff you must mix it with cayenne pepper (as the beasties hate that), or face your plant roots being torn apart by claws when you are not looking. Or at least sprinkle cayenne over the plant base once you have done watering in your fertilizer. Really, Dr. Earth should be adding in cayenne or chilli powder as standard to this stuff to keep critters at bay.

Organic Acid Fertilizer Great for Blueberries!
I have blueberries grown in containers and I use Dr. Earth Acid Fertilizer to maintain a low pH and add vital nutrients. The package includes instructions on how much to use for various situations including containers, outdoor plants, and how to make a liquid form or fertilizer tea. When I initially used it, I just added it to my blueberry soil (1/3 pine bark mulch,1/3 sphagnum peat moss, and 1/3 organic potting soil) prior to planting and mixed it in well. I now mix it and use it as a liquid to make it easier to get to all areas of the soil. I am able to maintain an acidic pH (around 5.0) and the blueberries are rewarding me with beautiful new growth.+ Organic+ Several Methods of Application, With Detailed Instructions for Each_Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. It has helped my plants flourish in acidic soil, blueberries, hydrangeas, etc. The product is a bit expensive but it is organic and not pumped full of chemicals. Highly Recommend.

Works well!
I have two large patio pots of azaleas. Neither were doing well and were yellowing badly. I loosened up and added fresh potting soil and added this fertilizer. Within a day one plant was already regaining its green leaves and is now looking great. The other has taken longer, it was nearly dead, but is now gaining a lot of new growth at the bottom. This fertilizer really worked for me.

takes too much for an application.
Good fertilizer but since it's organic, the volume you need at each application is much greater then granular long-acting fertilizer. i bought several bags and had to use it all based on the described application instructions. going back to Nelsons cuz it's cheaper when you consider that. love Nelson's anyway. was searching for an alternative and did not find it here.

Saved my gardenias!
This has really helped my gardenias make a comeback! I have been mostly doing the “fertilizer tea” method, which is easy and effective. Only downside is that it is quite stinky! But it’s fertilizer so I shouldn’t expect much different, should I?! :)

Looks good
A very nice looking mix and smells kelp-ish. I just put a sh!t ton around my blueberries, about a pound and a half spread out around each bush. I’ve never supplemented them with granular fertilizer before, only used good soil and max sea acid mix which seemed to do great for a while. The berries have gotten progressively smaller and leaves turning a bit red, which could be nutrition and acidity issues. I’m hoping this stuff lives up to the hype but I fed them well and any improvement should be a clear result of that since they got nothing else.
