UTL MPPT SMU 12V/24V 40 AMP Automatic Solar Charge Controller

I liked the packaging of product it is good.Delivered without damage and as per schedule. The UTL MPPT solar controller is great option if you want to convert your existing battery inverter system into solar inverter system. very much easy for installation, we can install it without any assistance with the help of instructions provided on controller. The quality of product is as per our expectation. Value for money as the solar hybrid inverter having price around 12-15k so you can save your money and also utilise your existing inverter system. It has very great charging features depends on solar energy efficiency. It has the priority first it will work on solar energy if it is not sufficient it will use your grid AC main and after that if both grid or solar energy is not available it will use battery energy, this feature is provided with bypass ON or OFF. The size of product is very compact we need very small space for installing it.

Convert extra voltage to current. Solar production display show wrong information, programmed digit shows. Generate more charging current compared to pwm charge controller. Good quality product

I purchased the product, but it hasn't worked since the first day of installation. The battery isn't charging as indicated. I attempted to contact customer care multiple times, but received no response or language support, and they don't even speak English. Eventually, I reached out via email support and requested a resolution. I later received a call back from an engineer in Chennai, who simply suggested checking the solar panel. I then hired a technician to check the solar voltage, which was 48V, but the UTL MPPT was showing only 4.5V. Their support never took any initiative to resolve the issue. After sending a video, they replied that they would change the PCP board. This has been a very frustrating experience with UTL. I will keep you updated if they actually resolve the issue .

This is one of the best products, I have seen in the retrofit MPPT category… This is just plug and play type, works for both 12V and24 V Tubular batteries… Also, it can accommodate a good voltage span of solar panels up to 48 volts. A superb product, easy to connect the electric lines, install, and to commission. On top of everything, very supportive customer care. I recommend this product without any second thoughts.

The product working excellent.but if provided high power panel support, would have made this product unique in market. I have bought 3kw rmppt after seeing it's performance but didn't gave me satisfaction of buying 3kw .This smu working such fabulous and I recommend this 100% than 3kw rmppt solar inverter which is combination of rmppt solar charge controller and inverter.

No proper documentation nor guidance, i am trying to connect this device with my existing UPS, still no luck, unfortunately there is no tech support as well, think multiple times before buying this.

It is fine as solar charge controller. The problem is with bypass. It have zero intelligence on how to manage charging. However, it only try to keep battery topped up. It does not care if you solar is there or not, whether is it day or night. So, essentially, you are using barely using the solar. So, the bypass mechanism is useless.Their service is pretty good.
