it depends, I, personally am kinda fat so every time that I wear this skirt I have to suck in my gut because I can barley put it on, but if ur skinny than maybe try a little smaller, overall the skirt is pretty awesome. But, when I ordered it the hole where the button goes wasn't cut, so I had to cut I myself.
