Super lens for video and photos.
Love the bokeh/toneh from this lens. Superb for talking head videos - no need to worry about flaky autofocus and motor noise. Just position about 70-80cm away from your face, focus on yourself and hit record. Brilliant!Photos also look really sharp if you’re aiming for sharpness.Lens is small but made of metal so a bit heavier than it looks but very strong. I’m a big fan of this brand now. Really good value for money.

Great Lens!
For the price this is a nice little lens with fairly good image quality and decent solid construction.

Great value for money
I have not had this product for very long, but initial impressions are very positive. At first glance, photos from it do not suffer in comparison with those from my fuji lenses. It is small and lightweight, solid and feels sturdy. The markings are well defined. Screw on lens cap is a bit clumsy, but does not distract from the overall excellence (thus far) of the lens.

Impressive for the price
I'm impressed by the quality of this lens, especially from f2 onwards. It is quite soft fully open but has a great filmic quality to the images which I kind of like. For the price this is impressive.

Don't Forget to set "Shoot Without Lens"
I needed a manual focus, medium wide-angle lens for landscape work and this TT-Artisan 17mm f1.4 fits the bill perfectly. I already have the 50mm f1.2 and the 35mm f1.4, so I had a feeling that this optic wouldn't disappoint, and it doesn't.Bright across the frame with very little vignetting, even at f1.4 and the lens is very well corrected, so no complaints. As usual, with all manual lenses for Fujifilm X-Mount, except Schneider (these usually have the electrical contacts to operate all functions except AF), don't forget to set "Shoot Without Lens" in the menu, in order for the shutter to fire. (You don't have to switch it back afterwards). Also, as is normal, because it's a manual only lens, you can use manual exposure and Aperture Priority Auto Exposure only.A very good little lens.

Brilliant bargain standard lens
If you are looking for a standard prime lens then look no further! First note that this lens has no mechanical or electrical connection to the camera and operates just like a legacy lens with an adapter. This isn't an issue for me, as I wanted manual focus and a manual aperture ring. Unlike most similar Chinese made lenses it has click stops on the aperture, which is a real advantage of you shoot stills. The lens came in a nice sturdy box and feels exceptionally well made for the price. It feels and looks just like a German lens from the late 1950's. The aperture click stops are positive and the damping on the focussing ring is superb.Optically the construction is a copy of the 1968 Pentax Super Takumar 50mm f1.4. That's no bad thing and it performs in a similar way. It's an old fashioned all glass lens with no floating or aspherical elements or low dispersion glass etc. It's multi-coated, but doesn't have a particular strong colour to the coatings. The front element isn't recessed, so I'd recommend buying a hood for it.Image quality is excellent. Soft and dreamy across the frame at F1.4, sharp in the centre at F2, sharp in the edges at f2.8 and bitingly sharp across the frame from f4 to f8. Unusually f11 is marked only by a dot and has no click stops. It can of course be used though, as the aperture ring can be set to any position regardless of click stops. At the minimum aperture of f16 diffraction kicks in to reduce sharpness across the frame. So, in short it performs like a classic high quality fast standard lens. The lens cap is something you either love or hate. It's a nicely made metal cap, but it screws in rather than clips in. Personally I find it a bit of a nuisance, so have bought a cheap plastic clip on cap.

Great lens
Very good build quality and smooth operation of aperture andnfocus. Took this to Sequoia Ntl forest and was the lens I shot with most. Mostly shot F8 so manual focus was never much of a thought. Will be doing some 12x18 prints from that trip. Is also great to shoot with indoors. Overall just a fun and unique focal length!

Inexpensive tilt lens
The media could not be loaded. I plan to use this for product photography, keeping the product in the foreground nice and sharp while also keeping the background sharp. You can also use it backwards so that you keep just your subject in focus. This can make some fun effects where the person or object looks like a miniature toy! Overall I think this lens is well worth the money, and I wish I had a 24 mm version that did the same thing!

Gutes Objektiv
Bisher top!
