nice little set but strange that on the pens it says 'keep away from children' ? eh? lol

Poor quality and you don't need this kit to get ink floating on water.
This lacks instructions and pens are poor quality and it didn't work at all.Interestingly I then swapped to my own good quality white board pens and it did work.Then I tried it on a teaspoon and it worked with that. So you can do this at home with your own white board pens and any spoon. Its a nice trick to show the kids but you don't need special equipment.
